A JOINT RESOLUTION TO IMPROVE AMENDMENTS


BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1A: A Joint Resolution to Define Amending Legstations shall be defined as: A Joint Resolution to Define Amending Legstations

SECTION 1B: A Joint Resolution to Define Amending Legstations shall be hereby repealed.

SECTION 2A: Any Legislation amending shall clearly identify what legislation is to be amended by its exact name and/or direct link.

SECTION 2B: Any Legislation (except for amendments to the Constitution or Bill of Rights) amending shall show what the present text of the parts being amended exactly contains.

SECTION 2C: Any Legislation (except for amendments to the Constitution or Bill of Rights) amending shall clearly show what is being changed by bolding, highlighting, or underlining the added, removed, or otherwise changed parts.

SECTION 3: Should any Legislation be amended through a passing ‘Motion to amend’, the Legislation shall have to additionally pass the other chamber if said chamber saw a previous version of the Legislation, prior to the Motion; unless the Legislation would not be required to pass the other chamber devoid of the motion.

SECTION 4: No legislation shall be proposed in contravenance of this Resolution.

SECTION 5: This Resolution shall be enforced by the Presiding Officers of Congress, defined as the Speaker of the House, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker Pro Tempore, and President Pro Tempore.

SECTION 6: Should any part of this Resolution be declared unconstitutional or otherwise struck down, the rest shall remain in effect unless all is struck down or declared unconstitutional.

SECTION 7: This Resolution shall go into effect upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.
