A Joint Resolution To Require Amendment Clarifications


IN THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF FIRESTONE

JULY 27, 2022

Mr. urdadcaleb (for himself, Mr. cooldudesub, Mr. cherrylimons, Mr. Ash1835, Mr. Baconman1499 and Mr. ADMIRAL_RICKY) proposed the following resolution:


A JOINT RESOLUTION

To require amendments to legislation, except for that of amendments to the constitution and or bill of rights, be reasonably clarified.

Be it resolved by the Senate and the House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

§1. Title
(a) This Resolution shall be known, and may be cited as, “A Joint Resolution To Require Amendment Clarifications”.

§2. Enactment
(a) This Resolution shall go into effect upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.

§3. Severability
(a) Should any part of this Resolution be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.

§4. Enforcement
(a) This Resolution shall be enforced by any relevant parties.

§5. Definitions
(a) “A Joint Resolution to Improve Amendments” shall be defined as this.
(b) “A Joint Resolution to Reconsider Amendment Requirements” shall be defined as this.

§6. Repealments
(a) A Joint Resolution to Reconsider Amendment Requirements shall be repealed in its entirety and declared null and void.

§7. Amendments
(a) Section 2B shall be amended to A Joint Resolution to Improve Amendments and shall state: “Any legislation, except for those amending to the constitution and or bill of rights, that is amending other legislation shall show what the present text of the parts being amended exactly contains.”

(b) Section 2C shall be amended to A Joint Resolution to Improve Amendments and shall state: “Any legislation, except for those amending to the constitution and or bill of rights, that is amending other legislation shall show what is being changed by bolding, highlighting or underlining the added, removed, or otherwise edited part(s).”
