AN AMENDMENT

To Amend The Uniformed Control of Firearms to Permit Open Carry

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress Assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; REFERENCES IN ACT; EFFECTIVE DATE

  1. Short Title — This Act may be cited as the “Open Carry Act of 2019”.
  2. References in Act — Except as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, wherever an amendment or repeal is expressed in terms of an amendment to or repeal of a section or other provision, the reference shall be considered to be made to that section.
  3. Effective Date — This Act shall be enacted as soon as its passage from both chambers of Congress.

SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS

  1. The Uniformed Control of Firearms Act, The Uniformed Control of Firearms Act, is cited.

SECTION 3. AMENDMENT

  1. Section Five (5), Chapter Two (2), of The Uniformed Control of Firearms Act currently states; “No individual may openly display a firearm unless to engage in lawful practice under this act. Open Carrying of a Firearm shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of $150 for the first offence, and an arrest for no more than 150 seconds for a second offence or more.”
  2. Section Five (5), Chapter Two (2), of The Uniformed Control of Firearms Act shall be amended to say “Individuals with a Civilian Firearms License are able to openly carry their weapon. Though they can actively equip their weapon, it can not be used in such a way to break a defined law, such as that defined in Brandishing a Firearm.

SECTION 4. OVERSIGHT AND ENFORCEMENT

  1. This legislation shall be overseen by the Office of the Governor and enforced by Law Enforcement Agencies and the Courts.
