A Joint Resolution to Alter Amendment Requirements

STATE OF FIRESTONE

January 3rd, 2024

SECTION I: SEVERABILITY; EFFECTIVENESS; DEFINITIONS

  1. This resolution shall be deemed effective once all conditions outlined by the constitution necessary for its passage are fulfilled properly.

     b. “A Joint Resolution To Require Amendment Clarifications” shall be defined as: A Joint Resolution To Require Amendment Clarifications

     b. The “Joint Standing Rules of Congress” shall be defined as: Joint Standing Rules of Congress

SECTION II: AMENDMENT

  1. ”A Joint Resolution To Require Amendment Clarifications” shall be repealed in its entirety.
  2. Section III of the “Joint Standing Rules of Congress” shall be amended to establish an additional motion in the table outlining motions.
    1. The "Motion Name" shall be, "Clarify an Amendment".
    2. The "Motion Effect" shall be, "Ask the Chief Sponsor or Co-Sponsors (or any reasonable alternative), if in attendance, to clarify the original text that is being amended and what is being changed by an act or resolution."
    3. The "Second Needed" column shall be, "Yes".
    4. The "Vote Required" column shall be, "Majority".
