A Bill to Replace and Fix the Impersonation Law


BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1: Title, Effective Date, and Enforcement

A) This bill shall be known as “A bill to replace and fix the impersonation law”

B) This bill shall become effective immediately upon passage from both chambers of the Congress and signed by the Governor.

C) Any person with the ability to arrest and cite is permitted to execute this bill.

SECTION 2: Definitions

A) Hereinafter, Department of Commerce shall be defined as; Department of Commerce

B) Impersonation shall be defined as; pretending to be a person, through looks or actions, that one is not.

C) “Impersonating a Public Service” shall be defined as; wearing the uniform of a non-law enforcement department, using the callsign in the plate of one’s vehicle of a non-law enforcement department or attempting to act in the capacity thereof while not being in that department or holding the proper rank to do so (i.e Public Employee+). On-Duty employees of a business approved by the Department of Commerce that work in a similar capacity as a public employee (i.e. Taxi service business) shall not fall under Impersonating a Public Service.

D) “Impersonation of a Government Official” shall be defined as; impersonating, through looks or actions, a person who is a state official. Government officials are, but not limited to, Senators, Representatives, Judges (of all state circuits), the Governors, and Cabinet officials.

E) “Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer” shall be defined as; wearing the badge of a law enforcement agency within the State of Firestone, putting one’s plate as a callsign of a law enforcement department/officer, or attempting to act in the capacity thereof while not being in that agency or not holding the proper rank to do so (i.e. Deputy+ or Trooper+). These agencies are, but not limited to, the Firestone State Patrol, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, the Firestone National Guard, the Firestone Department of Corrections, and the Firestone Department of Homeland Security.

F) “A Bill to Fix the Impersonation Law V2" shall be defined as; A Bill to Fix the Impersonation Law V2

SECTION 3: Nullifications

A) “A Bill to Fix the Impersonation Law V2” shall be declared null and void.

SECTION 4: Illegalities

A) It shall be illegal for a person to impersonate a public service as defined in Section 2C and shall be considered a misdemeanor.

B) It shall be illegal for a person to impersonate a Government Official as defined in Section 2D and shall be considered a felony.

C) It shall be illegal for a person to impersonate a Law Enforcement Officer as defined in Section 2E and shall be considered a felony.

SECTION 5: Sanctions for Unlawful Actions

A) Any person who is found to be in guilty of impersonating a public service shall have the penalty of a fine of 500 (five-hundred) dollars on their first offense, and a sentence of 200 (two-hundred) seconds in the State Penitentiary for further offenses.

B) Any person who is found to be in guilty of Impersonating a Government Official shall have the penalty of a sentence of 400 (four-hundred) seconds in the State Penitentiary.

C) Any person who is found to be in guilty of impersonating a Law Enforcement shall have the penalty of a sentence of 500 (five-hundred) seconds in the State Penitentiary.
