BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
AN AMENDMENT TO ENHANCE IMPERSONATION
SECTION I: The legislation being amended within this legislative piece is: A Bill to Replace and Fix the Impersonation Law
SECTION II: Section 2 Part E currently states: “Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer” shall be defined as; the act of falsely representing his (or her) self as an officer of a Law Enforcement Department. Further, wearing any sort of police article clothing sold from a Law Enforcement Department shall be considered Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer; this includes uniforms, badges, ID, and putting one’s plate as a callsign of a Law Enforcement Department/officer. Though if the badge is on an offical shirt (purchased from the main State of Firestone group) it shall not be deemed Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer."
SECTION III: Section 2 Part E shall now be amended to state: “Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer” shall be defined as; the act of falsely representing his (or her) self as an officer of a Law Enforcement Department. Further, wearing any sort of police article clothing sold from a Law Enforcement Department shall be considered Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer; this includes uniforms, badges, and ID. Those who utilize a plate similar, directly related to, or exactly a plate that resembles a callsign used within a law enforcement department shall still remain exempt from this offense, however, if they use such plate to mislead others into believing that they are affiliated with a law enforcement department, or to benefit their efforts of impersonation, they shall not be exempt and will be eligible for this offense. Though if the badge is on an offical shirt (purchased from the main State of Firestone group) it shall not be deemed Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer."
SECTION IV: This legislation shall take immediate effect upon passage within both chambers and once met with the signature of the incumbent State of Firestone Governor.
