BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
PUBLIC SERVICE HINDRANCE PREVENTION ACT
SECTION 1: Definitions
“Obstruction” within this legislation shall be defined as: the act of preventing another individual(s) from accomplishing a certain task or fulfilling their respective duty even after being administered at least three verbal warnings or given OC spray to refrain from doing said actions or being formally told by any employee of that department being victimized to halt the wrongful action(s) to retrieve dignity to the working environment.
“Verbal Warning” within this legislation shall be defined as: a warning issued through communication to bring awareness or caution to another individual.
“OC Spray” within this legislation shall be defined as: an agent that can cause eye irritation, burning sensation to the body, and temporary blindness to another person to cause a brief halt to that person and ultimately stop their actions.
SECTION 2: Obstruction Variants
“Obstruction against FDOT” shall be defined as: the act of actively causing obstruction to any official employee of the Firestone Department of Transportation.
“Obstruction against FDPW” shall be defined as: the act of actively causing obstruction to any official employee of the Firestone Department of Public Works.
“Obstruction against SCFD” shall be defined as: the act of actively causing obstruction to any official employee of the Stapleton County Fire Department.
“Obstruction against FPOST” shall be defined as: the act of actively causing obstruction to any official employee of the Firestone Peace Officer Standards and Training. An instance of obstruction against FPOST can be the act of deliberately delaying or interrupting a training being effectively hosted within the FPOST campus grounds.
“Obstruction against FDPS” shall be defined as: the act of actively causing obstruction to any official employee of the Firestone Department of Public Safety. An instance of obstruction against FDPS can be the act of making an attempt or succeeding in halting an investigation against another or the perpetrator of obstruction himself through concocting untruth.
SECTION 3: Punishments
“Obstruction against FDOT”, “Obstruction against FDPW”, and “Obstruction against SCFD” shall all be recognized as misdemeanor level offenses and each arrestable within Stapleton County for 100 to 300 seconds depending on the severity or repetitiveness of the offense. If convicted of any of these offenses in the court of law, the sentence can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
“Obstruction against FPOST” and “Obstruction against FDPS” shall be recognized as misdemeanor level offenses and only prosecutable through the court of law. If convicted of either of these offenses in the court of law, the sentence can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
SECTION 4: Nullifications
"A Bill to Amend "A Bill to Define “Obstruction Against DOT” is hereby nullified.
"A Bill to Amend “Obstruction Against DOT” is hereby nullified.
"A Bill to Illegalize “Interfering with a Public Service Employee” is hereby nullified.
SECTION 5: Enforcement
The Firestone State Patrol, the Firestone Department of Homeland Security, the Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office, the Firestone Department of Corrections, the Firestone National Guard, and the Firestone Courts shall be the enforcers of this here legislation.
SECTION 6: Effectiveness
Upon passage in both chambers of the Firestone Congress and the signing of the incumbent Governor, this legislation shall take immediate effect.
