Prevention of Criminals In Government Act

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT

SECTION 1: The following legislation shall be considered null and void:

SECTION 2: Any individuals who have been convicted of a crime within the past 3 months shall be unable to run for, or hold public office in the State of Firestone

SECTION 3: No individuals may run for office with a unexpunged felony conviction.

SECTION 4: Public Office shall be defined as the following: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, House of Representatives, Senate and County Executive.

SECTION 5: If an individual who holds public office is in violation of this act, they are to be impeached or removed from public office.

SECTION 6: Should any part of this legislation be constructed by any judicial body of this state to be unconstitutional and declared unenforceable then that part shall be severed with the rest of the act remaining in full force and effect.

SECTION 7: This legislation shall be brought into law, given that it follows the procedures to do so, as outlined by the Constitution.
