I respectfully request that no one attacks me for the following, however, if you want, go to my DMs so I can block you. Not sure how to do it on forums so don’t do it here thanks…
Right so, DHS has good people and bad people, all departments do. Now, the department is viewed as superior and excellent, compared to SCSO & FSP, and yeah, that’s fine, they have people with common sense contrary to SCSO & FSP. However, the thing is, DHS gets substantially more development support than SCSO & FSP. Now, you can agree or disagree with me all day long, but the bottom line is that DHS has way more developmental support than SCSO & FSP; this isn’t something you can fix, but I truly think the members within SCSO & FSP are degraded because they aren’t in DHS, The reality is that those officers do just as much as or more than DHS, they’re also the ones dealing with trollers, toxicity, rammers, FRPers — the shit things to this state, essentially. I’m not saying DHS doesn’t encounter them, but it’s almost like SCSO & FSP are just being degraded for just being in their departments, when they deal with the same things or even more than what DHS does. It’s pitiful.
Now, the next thing here is that some people in DHS think they are godsend. Don’t get me wrong, yeah you got nice aim, yeah you can handle situations, cool. But for the love of god, you don’t need to run around with a massive ego, shoving it in people’s faces. That’s ridiculous, and quite frankly, you’re not helping yourself improve. As an addition, there are few members who think it’s right to openly harass, insult, and be toxic to the Deputies of SCSO & Troopers of FSP. Mind you if they did the same thing to an employee of DHS, they would be fired.
That brings me into my next point, which is bias. Now, disclaimer, I really have not kept up with DHS to be deemed credible, but when I was in SCSO, this was an issue. I have seen that there are complaint forms released, so I am pretty sure it’s improving. However, if SCSO & FSP are held to the standard of using grammar, punctuation, and proper radio language, why are DHS employees not held to the same standard, or even higher? This I find quite unfair, and I really urge the administration to make policies that mirror those of SCSO & FSP regarding these minor details. I shouldn’t be having to join DHS just because I want to avoid DPS and avoid following the grammar rules FSP & SCSO employees have to abide by. This also applies to immaturity as well, and anything of that sort.
All in all, I think DHS as a department is doing well, or so it seems from the public eye. However, the behavior of some employees within is disgraceful and I really don’t like how it’s a “kick back and fuck around’ type of agency. Sure, have fun, but there’s times to have fun and there’s times to have some sort of professionalism.
There are also other things like FRP and things of that nature, but to be fair, all departments do FRP (as a Game Moderator), but you can see it more often in DHS. I personally don’t care much about it, they end up being banned anyways.
If you do take this post into consideration, that would be appreciated, however, feel free to disagree with me on any topics. I am not going to debate or argue on any of these, mainly because I don’t have the energy to do so, however that’s up to you.
Cheers!
