Hello people of Firestone!! My name is Coolabrita and I am running for a seat in the House Of Representatives! I have been involved in Firestone for a few months now and have gotten involved with several members of the community. During my time I’ve watched the government and educated myself on it. I can bring new ideas and a new face to congress. I do not have any government experience in the State of Firestone but I feel that the House of Representatives would be a great starting point for me!
Criminals are a core part of Firestone, and there has been a decline. Criminals are growing bored of serving repeated and repeated 15 minute sentences and quitting the game. Without criminals there would be no Firestone! I want to evaluate the criminal code charge times and talk with criminals to see new reasonable times for the charges. I do not want criminals to grow bored but I also think the appropriate punishment should be given.
I also would like to work very closely with the county government and municipalities. These two bodies have so much potential that is limited by the state! I hope to be elected to the County Affairs Committee as a start and start working with the county. I want to make compromises with the county and put forth some of their ideas into law. These two bodies are gaining more and more wasted potential that I would like to put into law!
I will develop more plans over the course of my term. I hope to work very closely in partnership with each of the congressional chambers and have a very productive term. Thank you for your consideration in supporting my most excellent campaign!
Hello! First off, welcome to the State of Firestone. I’m SeanCityNavy, a sort of OG around here, nice to meet you. Let me first start off by saying this is great, however I wouldn’t really suggest this. I understand that you’ve been watching and learning, but watching is different then doing. Our two upper houses have really high standards for its members and its really not a good place to start off when having no Government experience as you have stated in this quote above me. I would like to suggest you continue learning how our government works by first running for a lower Legislative Office like Councilmen (or women) of one of our fine cities or a County Councilmen (or women) of our beautiful County.
This is fine and all, but what exactly can you bring to the table with this that older congressmen (like myself) have already brought to the table?
This isn’t what the CAC does ma’am. If you want to put in laws for the County then please, as stated above, try and run for City or County instead.
None of this is said to try and intimate or anything else, however I do suggest you try and listen to the advise I have given to you here today
Thank you & Good Luck
Signed
SeanCityNavy
Representative (Independent - District of Prominence)
Hi sir, while I appreciate the advice you gave me, I am going to have to disagree. New faces are important in government, it keeps things fresh. I understand your points, but I’ve watched and learned enough. Its not required to have previous experience, and I know I have the knowledge and understanding that it takes. Many people with no previous experience have been elected before, and I think I’ve done enough research to understand what I’m running for and getting myself into. Again, I appreciate your advice, but I respectfully do not agree.
Perhaps this has changed, but at least when I paid attention last, city and county government was pretty irrelevant and useless. After all, the state only has one county therefore both levels of Government are legislating for the same small body of land. City government doesn’t even have its own law enforcement so I don’t even know why it exists. It’s about as useful as a bent rusty nail. Quite frankly the only thing that kept the county government in existence is the mere fact that we have SCSO and SCFD. The reality is the group should have been a county and not a state to begin with but we can’t go back in time. This is why Norfolk had such as successful government (In the beginning) because they didn’t have useless lower level government that constantly overlaps a state. Not to say that Firestone never had a successful government but we definitely never had any success at the municipal level.
In conclusion, the lower level governments aren’t even good experience.
Take my advice with a grain of salt considering I haven’t paid attention to the state in a few years however I’d be surprised if it has changed.
