An Amendment to the Firearm Act

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS* HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

§1: The “Uniformed Control of Firearms Act” shall be amended.

§2: Chapter I; Section Fifteen shall be adjoined onto the “Uniformed Control of Firearms Act” and shall state: “Section Fifteen: Persons may use their legal (and or department provided) firearm, to act in self-defense or defense of another, or to use deadly force to prevent an escape of a fleeing suspect only if the individual has good-faith belief that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious physical injury. If a subject is fleeing from the scene or otherwise is no longer directly posing a threat, persons may still use lethal force on the pretense that the subject has the potential to, or reasonably may continue to pose such a threat to life as they were previously.”

§3: This legislation shall be overseen by the Governor of the State of Firestone.

§4: This legislation shall go into effect upon being passed from both chambers of Congress.
