A Bill to Amend the "Establishing Obstruction of Justice" Statute -

(a) Subsection “b” of Section 2 of “Establishing Obstruction of Justice” shall be amended to state the following:

• “(b) The offense of “obstruction of justice” shall be defined as: “The act or threat of preventing official governmental duties of any officer of the court or any law enforcement officer through the act of: tampering with evidence; or, influencing the testimony of any person in a criminal proceeding; or, failing to comply with lawful orders; or, causing any hindrance, delay, or prevention of any action of an officer of the court or law enforcement agency and their entities; or, withholding any component or article at the request of an officer of the court through the proper authority to retrieve such in any criminal proceeding or criminal investigation by the Justice Department and components thereof.”
