A Bill to Amend the Gubernatorial Succession Act
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1: The Gubernatorial Succession Act shall be amended.
SECTION 1A: The Gubernatorial Succession Act shall be defined as; Gubernatorial Succession Act
SECTION 2: Section 1 of the Gubernatorial Succession Act currently states; Should, for reasons including, but not limited to death, resignation, inability, removal from office, or simple vacancy, there is no Governor capable of discharging the duties the office of Governor of Firestone; then the individual highest on the following list, and is fully eligible and capable of handling the position of Governor of Firestone, shall become the Governor of Firestone:
i. Lieutenant Governor
ii. Speaker of the House of Representatives
iii. President Pro Tempore of the Senate
iv. Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives
v. Secretary of State
vi. Secretary of Homeland Security
vii. Attorney General
viii. Secretary of Public Safety
ix. Secretary of Commerce
x. Secretary of Health
xi. Secretary of Aviation
xii. Secretary of Transportation
xiii. Secretary of Public Works
xiv. Secretary of Boating & Waterways
SECTION 2A: Section 1 shall now state; Should, for reasons including, but not limited to death, resignation, inability, removal from office, or simple vacancy, there is no Governor capable of discharging the duties the office of Governor of Firestone; then the individual highest on the following list, and is fully eligible and capable of handling the position of Governor of Firestone, shall become the Governor of Firestone:
i. Lieutenant Governor
ii. Speaker of the House of Representatives
iii. President Pro Tempore of the Senate
iv. Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives
V. Secretary of State
Vi. Attorney General
Vii. Secretary of Homeland Security
viii. Secretary of Public Safety
ix. Secretary of Commerce
x. Secretary of Health
xi. Secretary of Aviation
xii. Secretary of Transportation
xiii. Secretary of Public Works
xiv. Secretary of Boating & Waterways
SECTION 4: Upon passage from both chambers of congress and signed by Governor, this legislation shall go into effect immediately.
