Alright, so Congress was informed of documents and other materials being leaked to Ridgeway. This caused for the following legislation to be drafted and proposed. However, there was a debate regarding if the patriot act should or shouldn’t be used. I drafted up two separate bills of which one references it and the other doesn’t. Whichever one gets the most support is what we’ll ride with, as I’ll just retire the one that Congress doesn’t want.
Additionally, we may change this to where the individuals are only placed on administrative leave given they’re in these Ridgeway positions. This may be a floor amendment if Congress believes this is the right approach.
