Firestone Coast Guard and Department of Corrections Marine Divisions are fine the way they are. Creating another Maritime Law Enforcement agency and putting it in DOBW isn’t necessary and just in general, it’s unnecessary so I don’t why this idea came to mind. Also, what steel, you could have actually spoken to them before making this forum as well, you also focused on removing Coast Guard and replacing it which seems like you have a target aimed at us so tell me, why did you think it was necessary to make a forum post like this and only think about removing Coast Guard? Coast Guard and Marine Division are both very useful and neither shall be removed at all from each department.

I think your suggesting to do is “add a law enforcement division to DOBW and remove the CG”.

If that is correct… my short response is: I respect and think what the DOBW is doing is great (keep up the good work) but I think the Coast Guard needs to remain as is (and where it is) and DOBW does not need a law enforcement arm.

No need to change anything, it’s not anyone’s fault we have lives. Understandable that we don’t have boats but crims do but they can also return to land. The only thing you need if no CG or MD are online is an ASU heli to keep uploading the 20. If they get on government property (I.e. DOC waters, FNG waters), you can page them. But no need to have fsp or scso boats when we have helicopters that can update the 20. Also not all evaders don’t have boats.

Why is this even a question, CG is an agency that’s existed for ages, not to mention that disbanding it would put quite a few people out of a job. On top of that, DOBW was formed for certain jobs, turning them into a maritime law enforcement agency was never one of them.

Because almost nothing happens on our waterways besides the occasional Yacht hostage situation or a watercraft collision.

Rarely ever happens because most people don’t even own boats, and they’re usually unable to make it from their cars to a boat before being tased and taken into custody.

With respect, your vision of what should and shouldn’t be kept department wise is hardly noted. The entire basis of your suggestion is that people commit egregious amounts of crime on our waterways when in reality, 98% of Firestone’s active player-base never even touches the water, and stays on land. As for creating new opportunities for DOBW, this isn’t a good addition. We already have far too many individual law enforcement agencies, we don’t need to add anymore.

Assuming people are interested in being puddle pirates.

tl;dr useless, bad idea, too many LEO depts, would cause quite a few ppl to lose their jobs
