Why don’t you elaborate on the “routes” to fix this department, Because after all of this high command has been doing to keep the Stapleton County Fire Department stable and continue it’s journey no elaboration isn’t helping.
And Fed won’t give SCFD a 6 month trial period to be secondary, and now is making the department head dumb down a curric that wasn’t difficult for someone with a functional brain.
I don’t blame @OOFOOFERSON420 for putting his 1 week notice in because this is ridiculous at this point, Most of SCFD dislikes dumbing down the curric, Even fed himself said that the EMS was “too” much roleplay on a ROLEPLAY game.
We prioritize life over property. If there’s a man having a heart attack at CD but a fire at Rogreens, we’re going to prioritize the man having a heart attack.
Some people rather enjoy the realism and treatment of patients, and once you get into it, it gets fun and you don’t have to look at notes. Some people are and aren’t cut out for EMS /shrug.
That’s true, at the end of the day it depends what type of a person you are. Those with a passion for EMS would want more content as to those that are looking for personal enjoyment with little content. Other than that idk how SCFD is gonna be fixed that isn’t becoming a secondary department.
I completely agree. However, this is not North Korea, people are free to leave. People are going to start leaving more and more and go to other communities like Aigio and Mayflower if they feel that they are not heard.
It’s ridiculous that he does not listen when literally almost the entire community wants something.
If SCFD was secondary do you think the people in SCFD and in a LEO department actually go into SCFD team? For example, many people are in a LEO department and secondary like DoT or DPW but most of those people do the shift log for the secondary department last min and infact those last min shift are just the only shift they do so they won’t get fired. In fact some of those people who are in primary and applies for a secondary division don’t even attend the training so they drop out and waste the time they put in doing the application. Now, I don’t see why everyone is mad at fedora, Fed asked if the classes and stuff be made easier. I wanted to be in SCFD myself and I got passed the tier where you need to know radio codes, tool names, purpose of tools, and how to put out a fire but when I got to the medical part my brain wasnt able to keep that many knowledge for a game and there are people who are able to suck the knowledge and have it memorized but not everyone can, and some really want to be in SCFD.
You have a valid point. But, at some point, all of us will move on and if new people are going to places like Aigio and Mayflower instead, then FS dies.
I’m pretty sure Firestone will lose members when Fedora leaves because its always been proven that many people leave when Fed leaves. Also, Firestone had a good run
As said above, SCFD is a very specific department. You have to have a passion to be in it. Once you use all the information once, you don’t have to look back as much. Most of the die hard paramedics want MORE curriculum instead of less.
And yes, multiple LEOs stated they’d come to SCFD if it was secondary. Assuming they said “coming back” means actively responding to pagers. If they respond to 1 a week, I’d be happy.
Here is a thing to consider @scfdhicomm
What if you made a reserves department, featuring retired members. Y’all literally have an auxillary staff role that no one uses, it’s mainly reserved for retired high command. It’s dumb. Make the auxillary staff role a reserve role, get it put into game, get fed to approve it, then when we need SCFD, reserves can activate. Oh there’s a hostage situation and I’m the only EMT-P in game? Let me activate medic 73 and stage.
yeah but, which part of the reputation is poor? i mean, the time being i’ve been in SCFD (since early november) nothing really bad has happened in the scfd that has brought down our reputation. moving onto the extremely fast and heavy decrease of scfd employees, we’ve came up with ideas to try to bring to fed but he wont accept anything. we have tried volunteer firefighters, it being a secondary department, having reserve members, if the medical calls come in hard and we dont have enough employees, fed will see. i’m not saying scfd should go on a strike but we’re screwed in my opinion. unless fed and zip can come up with a compromise, we’re screwed and theres really nothing else to do.
