This helps a little but does not get us to where we need to be. Are we limiting incompetent members from getting elected into congress, or are we limiting competent members from getting into congress. We don’t know who is competent and who isn’t by a simple election speech, we need to go by experience and we need leadership. We can’t control who gets into congress but we can control how many people get into it, which will only help the issue a little bit.

This is a step in the right direction, and while I know Fed likely won’t allow it, the best solution to the issues surrounding congress is to make is secondary. Plenty of competent and intelligent people out there who could just as well serve in congress if they weren’t in another primary occupation.
