Seriously? Roleplay

Agreed :+1:

the issue is that both sides need to do it at the same time.

If a crim does good RP but cops just shoot them, they wont bother doing RP again and vice versa. Take a look at most felony stops for example
Cops are 99.98% sure the person is just gonna drive off so it’s a simple arrive, baton, cuff and call it. If we knew criminals were going to RP the stop, it wouldn’t be like that. Those kinds of stops are no fun for either side and we all know it. Which is also why criminals drive off, they can’t RP and will just be batoned out.

would you really want to get 15 minutes in DOC & lose your gun (in the case you had one) tho? there are 10 gun locations in V2 now, 2-3 per server that rotate every few minutes and cost HOURS of money farming to get

POST’s hostage negotiation training boils down to stalling to give tactical units time to arrive and to take over. It does simply include stuff like taking demands and obtaining them, but it’s a footnote.

“we’re not bad at roleplay” but you’d rather gun everyone down than at least make an attempt. Just let the normal cops handle hostages if you don’t want to roleplay bro. take other calls. tactical teams ruin it for everyone.

Hostage negotiations are merely just to await the tactical teams. I have shadowed a PE and a Tier 5 as a way to watch what these new POST recruits do. Instructors have some liberty on how much they wish to teach but in most cases, it isn’t anything beyond basic demand meeting. By no means is a POST graduate a hostage/crisis negotiator, nor are they trained for such.

yeah lets take the one situation on the forums as every time when we get hostage calls left right and fucking center every day and negotiate at 99% of them. sometimes there isn’t a time and place and when you have the shot especially on a fucking unstable boat you take it. sorry you didn’t attend the training I did that teaches us exactly what to do in these situations. jesus christ think before you post.

just pathetic to take one situation and stereotype tactical teams on the constant claim ‘they don’t negotiate they just run in guns blaze’ you need to realize every situation varies, there is always different scenarios, people, and areas.

lets not forget most criminals hold their friends hostage during bank robberies and then once they get the dirty money they will all just rush outside

I mean, that is the only way to get the money lol

We’d rather not gun everyone down and we do roleplay hostage situations but there’s something called reasonable demands and unreasonable demands. You are making the assumption that we ruin the roleplay for everyone which isn’t actually true because there are some criminals that ruin the roleplay for everyone as well so you can’t putting on us tactical units. You are taking one situation, basing off it and saying that we always ruin roleplay so, do me a favor and step back for a minute think about all the situations we roleplay because we do and then think about it where you are wrong here. I know you like to run your mouth and I know you think that’s a talent but it isn’t but besides that, if you think that we don’t roleplay then I want you to send me one video that is last month or this month showing that we don’t roleplay at all. I don’t mind being proven wrong at all, just find it funny that you take one situation make it like we always do it.

if they have a clean shot at ending a hostage sit, they’re gonna take it. If you want to negotiate just don’t give them a clear shot? its pretty simple

dude ur speaking my words

ive advocated for the shit that us criminals get put through and how LEOs can’t not frp for so long and you just summed it up perfectly

i haven’t seen one hostage situation handled by any branch of scso or dhs correctly. i took 4 hostages the other day and held them at rogreens. then, 2 unnamed indivuduals from scso showed up. they had gone on a line at the door and asked me to step out so we could “talk more clearly”. i then was charged as i exited the door. the leos then ended up oc’ing me and cuff rushing me

i feel like that it is safe to assume that tactical branches can’t handle kidnappings correctly as of 2021

patrol units aren’t tactical units

if what you’re saying is true, that’s very stupid of them and ruins the roleplay.

every single hostage situation is the exact same… when you rinse wash and repeat the same situation 10 times a shift only to get on tomorrow and do it again… thats why you join a specialized unit!

Shakes up the stuff you deal with

i was mentioning that in the story, not directly relating it to a tactical unit
