Monetary Compensation

i’m not sure why some of you feel the need to act so toxic about someone just making a suggestion and putting effort in to see if he can get it approved by roblox so that fed would consider it

it is something that i would like to see if it doesn’t violate tos, but it does absolutely needed to be capped at, say, $1000. do remember, though, that this would be a civil thing (i wouldnt support fines in criminal cases whatsoever) and civil defendants are almost always state employees that make way more money than an unemployed civ. the VAST majority of civil cases are false arrest/citation, employment regulations, or violating BOR.I/BOR.XV. it is exceedingly rare for a civil case to be filed that isnt one of those three, and all three of those categories are actions that could only be committed by state employees (LEOs, employers).

fed already shot this idea down with the tort act a long time ago too risky with roblox tos and all that

Likewise, with what @mwb8265 already said, this idea was struck down a while ago by FEDORAMASTERB98.

Fucking bullshit every time this topic is brought up.

“TOS. Gambling. Fedlaw.”

What?

Literally, what?

You’re telling me that it’s somehow against the TOS for no more than FS$1000 of a user’s in-game cash to be taken from them after a lengthy trial and conviction taking up like 2 months of time, in accordance with clear statutory guidelines visible for all players to see?

But oh, it’s not against TOS for a cop to cite people repeatedly FS$1000 for literally any reason they deem fit without any real cause.

What about the countless people who have been banned from v2 for ‘toxicity’ and other made-up excuses like that, who’ve probably spent hundreds of Robux on the game, and then they’re completely locked out of it?

Stop citing some ‘rules’ or whatever. It’s because of Fed: period.

I’m not really sure what his reasoning behind it is anyways. Does he not like the courts or what? He gives so much power and attention to LEAs; the legislation which he ‘nullified’ allowed us to court order up to FS$1300 MAX. Btw, this wasn’t a developmental request, this is a COURT ORDER.

IN FACT, Env himself told me that court-ordered cash transfers are COMPLETELY FINE. Maybe he changed his mind after what Fed said about it?

I don’t see the problem with mandating cash transfers with Contempt as a consequence of not abiding…

Ah yes, because being relentlessly murdered at random losing tens of thousands in firearms and other tools, that’s fine. But being asked to compensate someone for the items you wrongly caused them to lose? Well that’s way too fucking far!

The toxic ass counters to this lad just pitching an idea is hilarious. Yes, a true atrocity that after a weeks long legal battle with the option of a 12 person jury that adjudicates statutes everyone can see, and an appealable order to pay a whole $475 to the lad with a CZ you randomly murdered. That’s too far. But LEOs uncheckable (at the time of issuance) fine power of 1k per click, that’s okay! LEOs routinely stack fines into the thousands of dollars with no way to get that money back. But hey, that’s cool! It makes no fucking sense lol. And, ironically, allowing court mandated fund transfers would combat that issue.

Exactly! My point exactly!

I figure that’s sarcastic. Do you like, at all, think before you speak?

As you may know Roblox has a notoriously good and fair outsourced moderation system and team! Surely they would actually review the game and join the Discord to learn that the loss of money is completely justified and is no way gambling. They would never completely delete a community based of one report without actually reviewing the game!

Well by that logic they wouldn’t really know it’s occurring at all. Also, idk, I think Roblox may know Court=/=Casino. And, once again, we still have citations lol

I don’t know what I expected from roblox…

How informative!

Exactly.
I don’t really see why this system isn’t implemented but ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯

this is out of date but you can have any type of sink you want on a Roblox game, including courts, as long as there is no way for you to spend purchased currency and get nothing in return (like a slot machine), unlike lootboxes, citations, or court-ordered fines.

neither Roblox’s Terms of Use (TOU) or Community/Developer Rules have any rule which would object to this. if that was the case, there wouldn’t even be citations.
