Limiting NG's powers

( An Amendment to End War (R) )

Before I start this, I want to let you know this was written at 1am where I am tired.

This bill, weakening the Commander in Chief’s power to deploy the National Guard overseas, is not necessary and will severely limit the National Guard on how we operate and how we can successfully win any future conflicts.

The world, especially roblox, is not peaceful at all. No matter how hard we try to avoid conflicts, it’ll never fully go away. Look at the fat guy with the nukes :man_shrugging:. Limiting the powers of the department we rely on to defend us from foreign threats is equivalent to the US giving up their nuclear arsenal and hoping that foreign threats do not attack them.

I can assure you that passing this bill will limit and prevent us from gathering military intelligence on states we’re about to enter. Ahead of the main deployment into Atoll, a small team was sent in order to gather the necessary intelligence for us to deploy safely. As you will know, Atoll has missiles that can be launched and did pose a huge threat to us before the deployment. Without that window to gather intelligence, we wouldn’t have been able to locate where the missiles were launched from so we can defend against it.

Hypothetically, if this amendment was in effect and we went to war with Atoll, we wouldn’t have been able to locate the launch controls and we would’ve been destroyed within the missile strikes.

This bill isn’t just limiting the power the Commander in Chief has over the National Guard, it’s also limiting how we operate and can determine whether we win or lose based on how good foreign state defences are. It’s stupid having a bill to decide our fate in a war, it should be based on how good each state’s military is in attacking and defending. Whats the point in having the National Guard if we can’t defend the fucking state? You realise how much of an advantage you have given foreign states with this amendment? You might as well give foreign states intelligence on our state in the process as well with the way congress is going.

I’m tired and I am going to sleep.

(For context, this computer within a Manor in Atoll was the launch controls for the missiles. Without the advanced intelligence, we wouldn’t have known about this.)

I agree. The funny thing is the person who proposed that bill was in Atoll with us when we attacked. So I have absolutely no clue what their stance is on this.

Not too sure, we’ll have to wait to see however sponsoring a bill to limit FNG’s power while also fighting in a deployment is questionable.

Only FNG was deployed. For some reason civilians also got involved which the National Guard has no control over.

Precisely why I nayed it. If we are attacked when this amendment is in effect then the fault for any casualties/occupied ground will lie with this amendment.

However, I am happy to announce that a bipartisan compromise (that is not as restrictive) has been reached. I hope that this compromise will make this state better and I am confident that it will pass.

Is the compromise simply naying this stupid bill?

I did nay it to begin with and I will continue to do so should it come up.

I encourage those that voted for it to pick up a rifle and join the FNG - we will gladly have you fighting in no time.

Otherwise, under this amendment in-game sessions would be in jeopardy.

I don’t think we want to end up with the legislature being shot up.

If we want to make this state safe we need to ensure that our branches are even in their checks.
