An Amendment to End War (R)
Preamble: This legislation is being proposed in order to better control the conflicts the State of Firestone enters. This was revised to allow for visits as well and thus making the amendment bi-partisan.
BE IT ENHANCED THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS THAT:
SECTION 1: The Firestone Constitution shall be amended
SECTION 2: Article IV, Section III of the Firestone Constitution currently states: “The Governor shall be the Commander-in-Chief of the Firestone National Guard, and shall have the respective authority and power over it; and shall be able to exercise full control over the deployment of the Firestone National Guard in the event of riots, civil unrest, terror attacks, a State of Emergency, or any other reason deemed justifiable by the Governor; and can deploy the Firestone National Guard in territory outside of the State of Firestone, without a Declaration of War in effect permitting such, for no more than 24 hours, if emergent.”
SECTION 3: Article IV, Section III of the Firestone Constitution shall now state: “The Governor shall be the Commander-in-Chief of the Firestone National Guard and shall have the authority and power to exercise full control over the deployment of the Firestone National Guard within the State of Firestone in the event of riots, civil unrest, terror attacks, in the event of a State of Emergency, or any other reason deemed justifiable by the Governor. The Governor may deploy the Firestone National Guard outside the State of Firestone only if the outside territory or entity extends a peaceful invite active only for one (1) non-hostile visit made within seven (7) days of the invitation to the State of Firestone in which the Governor can only deploy for a maximum of 4 hours and can only use this 4 times a term, or if war has been officially declared by the entity as a whole against the area that the Governor is deploying the Firestone National Guard to.”
SECTION 4: This Amendment shall go into effect upon passage of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
