So I think SCSO needs to improve in training cause post is sometimes incompetent and cadets don’t always understand everything

I know right, SCSO and POST dosent teach the reality of patrolling well enough, They dont explain the people that your going to deal with day in and day out.

I agree, but I do also think it can be better than it is.

That’s why I think SCSO trainings are better cause you know the gist of patrolling and just need to know the details

If you are too lazy to read, there is a tl,dr in the end.

So I noticed a few serious problems, that’s why I talked to Southern asking him to make new curriculum. And I suggest you make a meeting regarding this with Dragon and Southern/Maximus, as it is pretty important to improve both FSP and SCSO. I will state some of my points here so you will know what I mean

  1. First of all, SCSO, same as FSP, have SERIOUS problems with prioritizing and responding to calls, callouts and etc. Both FSP and SCSO don’t pay attention to the radio aswell. I many times had situations when I was requesting SCSO/FSP to come and help me, when there were obviously available people, but no one responded. I many times witnessed tons of calls, where no one responded to them when, again, there were available officers. However, it may point on another problem - both FSP and SCSO ignore ERU status and others may mistake them for being available for their status, while they are not. I wish that it will be improved, as it’s a serious problem, when you are not getting any assistance until you won’t press the distress signal button (Even in that case people are being ignored sometimes).
At the same time, I have seen many times that FSP and SCSO had whole county responding to 1 shooter with a pistol, ignoring all other situations. No one sets priorities or spreads evenly across the areas of traffic, and it’s a serious problem. Whole county responds to 1 callout, and county becomes a mess really quickly, as no one controls the traffic/responds to calls/assists other officers.

  2. 2nd little point, both FSP and SCSO have problems in what to do when on scene. Witnessed a lot of moments when FSP and SCSO had problems with securing a scene, sometimes it caused in a suspect escaping with his friend that was waiting nearby in a car, because no one secured the scene.

tl,dr: I suggest you do a meeting with dragon and southern on how to improve the stuff. I already talked to southern about it, and he knows what I mean. + my points:

  1. teach officers and cadets on how to properly prioritize callouts and calls, on how to spread evenly and etc
  2. teach officers and cadets how to properly controls a scene, especially securing a scene

kthx, no idea how I typed that much

I agree to that, yesterday, 5 LEOs were online, and they appeared avalible. I pressed my Distress Signal and literally no one said they were coming, or did come.

I don’t think some LEOs know about priority.
