See, if Stapleton County wasn’t a pool of degeneracy and chaos then I would say yes, but what’s to stop someone from going in and legit slaughtering every person in sight.
yes but in the group of who could get slaughtered is also DHS, not saying you guys are bad but criminals can be better at shooting sometimes then DHS, especially in closed areas.
There are several pictures of CRT going against crims and destroying them.
Remember from a practical standpoint; at a session, DHS will have skill, pin-point training, and numbers. Crims will not only have to truck through all of DHS, they have to walk up the walk to cap’s entrance, in the doors and through the lobby, then past the guarded doors to a chamber.
Firestone is a roleplay game, I don’t see the point of sessions in a another game without guns and stuff. We have people in DHS/FNG/SWAT well trained to take care of threats. In game session will give DHS/FNG/SWAT something else to do beside going around the map always chasing SRTS and etc. Infact, LEOs ask for new type of content I believe sessions in game will give them a new content and require new order of thinking. Why should people waste time in DHS academies if they’re going to stand at protect government officials in a game where guns aren’t even a feature? (the capital game).
doing this i believe will lower amount of congress / senate people WHATEVER you call them attending sessions.
the idea of in game house/senate sessions sounds cool but actually doing it sucks ass with the amount of shootings, attention seekers, exploiters, just ruins the gameplay.
Well if we had it in a second or third, smaller, server, then that wouldn’t be an issue. I’ve been at numerous state visits where foreign nations come to FS, and we’ve held them in smaller servers, dominated by DHS and diplomatic staff. We’ve never had issues with criminals during such visits.
So, in-game sessions would have to be held in a smaller server, with a lot of DHS, and with a game moderator.
shooting up a car show is considered frp, why not congress sessions?
env could fairly easily add a gui or command for speakers/senate presidents, etc. which would disable character-to-character colisions, preventing exploiters from flinging, meaning their power is entirely useless. having a game mod at sessions would also reduce any other possible disruptions.
I prefer a separate venue granted I only attended one in-game session during my time in Congress, regardless it was a hassle as people had to drive all the way to Prominence (assuming they aren’t caught in a pursuit or randomly kidnapped at Redwood, not to mention the exploiters and car flinging). If someone disconnects we’d have to wait for them to load back in and return all the way back to Prominence.
The idea isn’t bad, but in practice especially with current circumstances it is too much of a hassle as said previously. However, with V3 and the additional of more spawns, this could be practical and done for every session.
possible solution, although it does slightly degrade the roleplay, if a ‘congress session’ button is flicked, congresspeople would be able to just teleport to the capitol; although this option should only be used if they’re late or can’t get DHS, etc.
