Hecxtro & Skye_Jones for Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Firestone
Candidate Overview
Gubernatorial Candidate Hecxtro
Hello! I’m Hecxtro and I’m running to serve as the next Governor of Firestone. I was first drawn to Firestone because of my desire to get into law enforcement. I have served in several law enforcement agencies and eventually moved to law and politics. When I started out in Firestone, I never imagined that I’d have the honor of putting myself in front of you all with the intent to represent everyone’s interests as Governor. I have a passion for Firestone and I continually try my best to make our community fun and welcoming for everyone- whether it be through my tenure as a peace officer, judge, legislator, and hopefully Governor. Below is a list of the most important positions I’ve held in Firestone as well as what I consider to be my biggest achievements.
-
Lieutenant Governor x3 (1/20/19-5/20/20 & 11/4/20-Present)
-
President pro tempore of the Senate x2 (9/14/19-1/20/19 & 9/26/20-11/4/20)
-
District Court Justice (7/31/20-9/22/20)

Solicitor General of Firestone/Chief Public Defender (6/18/20-Present)
-

Lieutenant Gubernatorial Candidate Skye_Jones
Good morning, afternoon, or evening. My name is Skye Jones, and I am running to serve as your next Lieutenant Governor. I am an eight year veteran of the ro-state community with experience across Rockport, Docklands, and Firestone, and I started my career in Firestone on day one as the first Secretary of State, serving within Governor laffydecious’ administration. After that term, I entered a period of retirement until I felt the call back to public service and ran for the House of Representatives. I immediately rose to House leadership, serving under Speaker MrEmote as the Speaker Pro Tempore, and in my second term in the House I was elected to the post of Speaker. While Speaker, I made several changes to progress our legislature and promote accountability that are still used to this day, including starting the session bulletins to provide an easily captured synopsis to the people of what your representatives in government are doing. My time as Speaker of the House was all about transparency: actively roaming the forums to speak with citizens about their needs, posting my entire voting record for public view, and speaking with the people most impacted by the House’s legislation to always ensure we were moving the state in the right direction.
While doing so, I was also rising through the ranks of the legal community. Starting as a Public Defender in the Department of Justice, I quickly gained a reputation as a fierce and skilled attorney, winning countless cases on the behalf of Congressmen, law enforcement officers, and, of course, the average citizen. To this day, I have not lost a single case I have taken; always fighting my hardest for my client’s interests just as I do for the interests of the people in government. As my reputation grew, I was promoted to Associate Attorney General, and then, in only a few short months with the department, was appointed to the post of Attorney General. This post gave me the executive experience to perfectly blend with my legislative resume to make me a well-rounded candidate to be your Lieutenant Governor. I know how to efficiently lead the Senate, and at the same time I can also be a highly effective partner for Hecxtro in leading the executive.
When my time as Attorney General came to an end, I moved to the judicial branch as a district judge, and ended up largely carrying the workload of the branch on my back- due to a lack of judges at the time- and then was appointed to serve as the 6th Chief Justice, a post I held for over a year. In this time, I completely rebuilt the judiciary from the ground up, going from what was at one point just me completely alone to a three-man Supreme Court and a well-staffed district court.
After a year and a half on the bench, I am prepared to finally move on, and I would like to do so by making a return to service directly to the people. It would be my greatest honor to serve as your next Lieutenant Governor, and if you have any questions for me, my direct messages are open to all at princess skye!!#9640.
Policies & Goals for Firestone
Executive Branch
Over the past term, the Executive Branch has seen a lot of changes. Many resignations, many dismissals, many inquiries by the Governor’s Office to ensure the branch was functioning at 100%. Despite some setbacks, many strides have been made to fix issues that were painfully obvious within the branch. The Department of Public Safety underwent a massive audit and is currently undergoing major structural changes to fit the changing needs of the Executive Branch. The Firestone State Patrol was audited. These initiatives were a collaboration between Governor NinWin1 and I. Advancement in the branch is all but certain under our administration. While there were some decisions made that we do not entirely support- such as Executive Order 55-, Governor NinWin1 enacted changes that were necessary for the branch. The progress made by Governor NinWin1 and I will be continued with the Hecxtro and Skye_Jones administration. We both look forward to the future of the branch and hope to facilitate its growth.
Legislative Branch
Both Skye and I have extensive experience in the legislature. I’ve served 6 full terms in Congress and Skye_Jones has served 3. Our legislative experience rivals that of any other candidate running for Governor. Having served so long, both Skye and I know what issues plague the legislature. Skye_Jones, having spent much of her tenure in a leadership role, knows how to run a chamber effectively and efficiently. Skye_Jones understands the critical role a presiding officer plays- not just to ensure a chamber is run in a productive way but to teach congresspeople how to grow and learn. Skye_Jones and I have made many major legislative accomplishments and we intend to continue to use our position in the Governor’s Office to produce legislation that benefits Firestone as a whole. The legislature needs leadership who is well versed in producing legislation that enacts meaningful change and who can lead the branch to continued success. Skye_Jones and I are the most qualified to enact major legislative reform- we’ve done it in the past and we can and will do it again.
Judicial Branch
Both Hecxtro and myself have served on the bench, and we are both very knowledgeable of the struggles the Judiciary faces. In my year and a half as Chief Justice, I witnessed personally the highs and lows of the branch. There was a time where I was the lone judge on the court, and there was a several month period where I alone had to shoulder the weight of the entire judiciary’s caseload myself. Rebuilding the branch was a very tall task with such a low availability of people not only able but also interested in such a tiring and demanding job. Through the successful construction of the Judicial Mentorship Program, however, I was able to bring the branch back to being staffed properly from top to bottom, and by a group of excellent legal minds all vetted meticulously for the job.
At my recommendation, the judiciary is now in the highly able hands of Chief Justice thekerbal, and I believe it is in a very good place to continue growing, to become more and more efficient, and to uphold the high standards which the citizenry rightfully holds it to as the most important interpretive body. The best that we can do for the judiciary now is to be supportive of its growth. This means supporting the Prominence College of Law to introduce new, high-quality lawyers to the community to stimulate the branch as well as our executive departments. This also means working with the legislature to be observant of and fair to the needs of the judiciary without overstepping on it. The judiciary continuing on its track of growth and stabilization is very important to this state, and our administration would be wholly supportive of it in doing so.
Our administration has many other plans that we have not listed above. Our main priority though will be legislative reform- specifically codifying the legislature. We plan to make the state’s laws easily accessible, searchable, and comprehensible for every citizen, law enforcement officer, public official, lawyer, department employee, student; anyone who needs to find accurate law for any reason. This, coupled with strong leadership in the executive, will lead Firestone to success. Some of our other plans;
- Prominence College of Law startup with Co-Superintendents Hecxtro & UnlimitedMango
- Work with the judiciary to nominate more judges
- Revise major legislation which is outdated and needs reform such as the Health Act, Uniformed Control of Firearms Act, electoral law, etc.
- Continue optimizing the Department of Public Safety
- Most importantly, maintain a high standard of transparency in every facet of the administration with the people
Conclusion
Both Skye_Jones and I have proven our ability to lead. We have served countless years on this platform dedicating our time to public service. Choose the candidates who have shown they can enact change, not the ones who only promise to. Vote Hecxtro and Skye_Jones to continue leading Firestone to success.
