Forum Usage Guidelines on Elections

Introduction

The Firestone Forums is the hub for all elections within the State of Firestone. All city, county, and state elections are held within the Elections category within the forums. This thread will detail the proper usage of this category.

Subcategories

Speeches

This subcategory is intended for all candidates to post their speeches and gather support from citizens. Additionally, people are able to post questions, comments, or concerns about the candidate within their respective thread.

Guidelines

When an election takes place, the election sponsor will post the guidelines of the appropriate election under this subcategory. This makes it easier for citizens to view the guidelines without having to dig around the forums itself.

Discussion

Typically, elections call for many conversations and debates. To prevent multiple threads being created on the same topic, this subcategory was introduced in order for the public to talk about the ongoing elections without creating multiple threads of the same topic. The discussion is strictly limited to elections.

Speech Regulations

Typically, a speech can literally be anything, so long it follows the guidelines set by the law. However, there are some forum regulations regarding speech threads, which are listed below.

  1. No individual may “bump” a thread. There is literally no need for it. You are always visible when someone enters the speeches sub-category.
  2. No individual may violate any of the general forum regulations.
  3. Old election threads that are unlocked are subject to be locked by moderators. No individual should post on outdated speech threads. If they wish to add on to the discussion, they can create a topic under discussion, since the elections are over for the respective speech.
  4. More regulations may added when necessary without notice.

General Election Regulations

These regulations are not put in place by me, rather they are general state laws.

  1. Basic Offenses: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uimiv9pFPKE7ewdLnUnfL0QvvsLlYmoj/view
  2. Committee Members & more Serious Offenses: A Bill to Assemble the Firestone Election Committee
  3. Election System: Bill to Remodel Elections

Other Notes

An election sponsor has the ability to impose extra regulations as they wish. They can NOT, however, override the speech regulations without consent from @GetEnveloped. This is to preserve the good state of the Firestone Forums. I am typically open to changing up the regulations as the Election Sponsor wants it to be, so feel free to hit up my DMs.
