Firestone Activity Levels

Yeah also, if you want to get new players by making it an (RP), then u need to send them straight to v2 instead of choosing from 11 games.

give FSP marked tahoes instead of the durango

Just to add to this a little bit,

let departments operate the way they want to. Stop micromanaging and denying us stuff that would bring more activity and give people more of an incentive to join the department. Just for a small example, why arenā€™t law enforcement able to wear UGC vests? Fed has said no to this multiple times for in my opinion no logical reason. This goes the same with reflective vests, fed denied FSP being able to wear a reflective vest merely because it said ā€œState Policeā€ instead of ā€œState Patrolā€, why?

Another thing, there are some great people within the municipal police departments, and they arguably get the most action. Why not allow them to have more divisions other than just K9, PR, and the basic ones? There is no sense in micromanaging this type of stuff.

Finally, just listen to our reasonable requests and suggestions. Iā€™ve seen countless suggestions on the development section forums and RARELY have any been implemented. Some of them could benefit this game greatly.

cracks knuckles and fingers

Ok letā€™s do this

For the most part, this community is made up of a grown up generation of people who enjoyed the role play genre, me included. Yet over the course of my experience in this community, weā€™ve lived with playing v2 and now v2 is notable for its extreme lag. Also if you take a look at my post over why criminals have a larger advantage over cops, that is also a factor to consider looking at.

If we look at the update perspective, hereā€™s my input;

  • Focus on optimizing the game!!! Not everyone has a NASA computer for crying out loud!
  • Make the game appeal to a younger generation by ads and whatnot. How to do so? Make more activities and civilian type jobs and maybe add other ways to spend money rather than food, vehicles, and guns. Personally, Iā€™d recommend a method of owning a house and buying furniture to make the house look nicer. Take reference from bloxburg with that possibility. I understand it was aimed at for v3 which idk if that has been scrapped or not but maybe something new.
  • Add a passive option for those who donā€™t want to be in combat all the time. Law enforcement and national guard would not have this option as well we are, for the most part, carrying weapons.
  • As zep has beautifully pointed out, stop micromanaging. It tends to turn off the idea of actually having fun and honestly makes the game real dry because itā€™s not running exactly how you want it. Sure, here and there if there is something outrageous going on then you need to address it. Weā€™ve got gamemods and our game rules for a reason.
  • On a light note because well thatā€™s enough bashing from my previous point, bring back theme updates. The 2019 Halloween update was actually fun and brought on a creative taste to it.
  • Adding on to the house thing, add items where you can store contraband like guns (sorry crims) or dirty money. Adding on to this, allow the possibility for organized crime to have a store front to make some interesting RP scenarios because if you look at our gangs, they just rob places and kill, yet we got all these other charges that are currently rendered useless given the state of the game.
  • Well for v2 it can be a challenge to incorporate this but maybe make a port where civilian jobs can involve driving boxtrucks and vans, possibly even create semi trucks. We got 401 to benefit from so why not give that highway some love.
  • Last but not least, make some businesses as filler buildings. I understand you rely on the community to make businesses but having some random fillers like a spoof of McDonaldā€™s can make the game feel a little more alive.

Now if for the v3 thing, maybe here and there give us a leak. Iā€™m a bit of a dev nut and I enjoy seeing what gets posted so bring that aspect back to the plate.

Now, these ideas Iā€™ve placed are what I feel can make the state active. We need to bring interests to a younger generation as our generation is moving on with life. For heavenā€™s sake we got community members already married and having kids! We cannot stay on Roblox forever because man, life will eventually catch up to us. Therefore, start considering making v2 more appealing to the younger generation and optimize v2.

add 2012 Nissan Altima to the game plz and thanks

Add more quests/story things to accomplish with NPCs cause thatā€™s fun.

Scrap V3 and slowly put the good assets into V2 and keep updating V2.

Fix V2 so it doesnā€™t crash and can be run on computers not made by NASA at 60 FPS.

They still couldnā€™t shoot good even with the automatic :frowning:

I feel like the biggest downsides to Firestone are the following:

  • People feel as if they canā€™t suggest new things because they think the likely answer is no, I think this really kills the morale for most people, because they cannot do things that they want to do.

  • Suggestions are almost never listened to, whether they be posted here on the forums, or mentioning it on Discord.

  • Most people feel as if the game is unfair (especially recently) and is more favored toward criminals having the advantage which is yet again another morale killer. But, Iā€™ve never been a criminal and likely never will be so Iā€™m not sure about their side.

  • The lack of quality updates. This. What even was the last quality update that actually brought something new into the game that people could actually use day to day? Fishing, and then before that? Probably bicycles, which was TWO YEARS prior to fishing. If I had to suggestion one thing only, it would be to provide more meaningful updates and listen to community suggestions and give the community a voice, almost every time something new is suggested, it is either 1. ignored, 2. completely shutdown.

  • Transparency with the community. We always feel left in the dark, especially regarding V3, for the last four years ā€œv3 soonā€ ā€œitā€™s nearly hereā€ and even the same comments to this day. But when? How can we trust ownership and development? Weā€™ve been getting the same thing told to us for as long as I can remember, and yet, itā€™s never come.

  • Allow department representatives to suggest things that they want to see in their department, whether it be new tools, vehicles, divisions, or even different uniforms. Almost every department is pretty much a copy paste of each other just with a different livery and uniform. RPD is FSP. APD is SCSO. FPS is FSP. PDP is DHSā€¦ you get the point, everything is copy pasted in a sense and there was no real effort to establish municipal departments in V2.

  • Like a lot of people have mentioned above me, more community events, I remember playing the old Halloween events, these were some of the most fun (albeit also the most frustratingā€¦) moments Iā€™ve had in Firestone.

tldr: listen to the community more, be more open to suggestions, and understand the communityā€™s point of view.

some kind of official crime group would be good i think, especially if thereā€™s some kind of perks to joining it might encourage better rp from criminals rather than the typical pursuits and shootouts every 5 mins then bail out to do it again

The Official Gameplay Guidelines of Firestone should be revised with the target of aligning with the actual vision for the game, which is having a roleplay community. The official gameplay guidelines are missing rules which actually enhance roleplay, a few possible ones being OOC communication limits, roleplay intent, rules revolving around negotiations, the way that calls (especially bank robberies) should be fairly handled, and overall stricter guidelines on realism in roleplay.

durango has literally the exact same base as the tahoe, thus the same handling.

Not every criminal IRL has an automatic either. This is ROBLOX gang. Criminals using semi automatics is a rare thing in firestone.

Actually try to focus on V3, and possibly salvage it. Simple as that.

The game launch has been horrible, and sadly V3 is most likely set for failure.

  1. The game has been delayed for YEARS. People recognize that and see we are still playing with 2016/2017 tech.
  2. The game, much like v2, has already been through several developers and scriptors. Each have their way of coding and programming, which creates a lack of optimization in the game, much like v2 now.
  3. V3 is TOO big and detailed. The Roblox platform is not optimized for everything v3 has offered/planned for your average player-base. V2 is already laggy enough, I canā€™t wait to see v3 when ITā€™S DONE, with all itā€™s planned functions and a 50-player-sized server.

Some examples include being too ā€œdetailedā€ā€¦

  • YOU HAVE THIS ON EVERY STOP SIGN IN THE GAME. ITā€™S POINTLESS. ITā€™S THE LAW AND COMMON SENSE THAT BASIC RIGHT-OF-WAY CROSS TRAFFIC DOES NOT STOP.
    Screenshot 2024-09-17 013819

  • WHILE I GET THE IDEA OF TRYING FOR REALISMā€¦ LOOK AT THIS CHAOS. THERE ARE AT LEAST 40 SIGNS IN THIS PICTURE NEAR ONE INTERSECTION IN THE GAME. All this is just not needed for optimization sakeā€¦

  • IN V2 AND V3 YOU HAVE THESE SIGNS FOR EVERY SINGLE BROKEN LINE AND PASSING ZONEā€¦ JUST LIKE THE STOP SIGNSā€¦ ITā€™S BASIC LAW AND RIGHT-OF-WAY. A BROKEN YELLOW MEANS PASSING FOR YOUR LANEā€¦ YOU DONā€™T NEED ALL THESE SIGNS!

Little things like this, even signs, add up to your overall parts.
