FIoatmanjason & Stamose, Architects of Change.
Within this document contains our comprehensive speech, mandate, and plans for the State of Firestone if we are elected in the May 2021 Gubernatorial Election.
Experience
FIoatmanjason has had a long and illustrious history within the State of Firestone with a wide breadth of experience. He started as an Associate Director in the Department of Homeland Security, to a Trooper of the Firestone State Patrol, a Sergeant in the Department of Corrections, the Chief Court Justice, and is now the Speaker of the House. During this time, he aided in the effort to establish the Intelligence Office, streamline judicial training, and is presently conducting major constitutional reform with many other contributors. Float’s dedication and experience within the state is truly beyond reproach and with his experience across the three branches, is in an excellent position to govern.
Stamose has been involved in the State of Firestone Community for 3-4 years now, serving many positions. Currently, he is a Bar Certified Attorney, an employee of the Department of Justice’s State Attorney’s Office, a fifth-term Senator, a second-term President pro tempore, a Department of Boating and Waterways Senior Watercraft Technician, and the Department of Health Public Relations Director. He also chairs the County Affairs Committee and is an Advisor to the County Representation Board. Stamose has led a career valuing public service over all else and his experience and hard work ethic in the Senate is unmatched, making him the perfect choice as a Lieutenant Governor.
Cabinet
The current composition of the cabinet is incredibly effective and all members within it are doing a terrific job. However, there lacks a fluidity of communications within the executive branch which our administration will be hoping to address. Regular cabinet meetings will be hosted within the State of Firestone to first, make sure matters are addressed and information is conveyed, and secondly, give the Department of Homeland Security more opportunities for executive protection.
Congress
Under the leadership of FIoatmanjason and Stamose within Congress, legislative sessions have been hosted frequently and professionally, leading to a very stable atmosphere in which legislation can effectively be scrutinized. In collaboration with other members of Congress, Floatmanjason and Stamose have also been looking into increasing accountability and competitiveness within the branch. If elected, we shall communicate regularly and efficiently with Congress and continue constitutional reform which was started under Floatmanjason.
Foreign Affairs
With FIoatmanjason and Stamose both attending and speaking at G4 and other foreign-related meetings in the past, we understand how vital foreign affairs is to the state roleplay community. It allows our states to create bonds and lasting friendships which are not only beneficial for political matters, but for the joint activity of our groups. If elected, we shall reinvigorate activity within the Department of State and search for states to conduct proper foreign relations with. If relationships are strong, we can conduct joint activities such as meetings, military exercises, and other things of interest.
Their first priority shall be the opening up communication with the State of Mayflower, the only other state that contends with Firestone in its complexity of government and diplomacy. As a developer and administrator for the state, FIoatmanjason should make easy work of this and the benefits of such a relationship, as previously aforementioned, are undeniable.
After establishing and rekindling relationships with other states, they will look into forming another G4 styled organization with the purpose of maintaining close cooperation and friendliness.
National Guard
The National Guard is an incredibly effective fighting force and both candidates commemorate Major General Hobo_Bear and all the other personnel for achieving this. It is the view of our administration that to preserve this, autonomy must be given towards the National Guard unless assistance is requested or required.
Floatmanjason and Stamose hope that our foreign affairs plan will also provide the National Guard with opportunities for joint training, patrols, and exercises.
Law Enforcement
It is needless to say that the Department of Public Safety is a topical issue at the time of this election and that there is a need for reformation. FIoatmanjason and Stamose acknowledge that this is not an easy undertaking and the administration will be available at any time to assist Acting Secretary K_yleTB with this endeavor. In cooperation with the Acting Secretary, all of the practices of the department will be reviewed and adjusted if necessary to ensure smooth, impartial, and effective operations. Upon the request of the acting secretary, the administration will also provide legal advice in cooperation with the Department of Justice. As a body representing the interests of all law enforcement, it is integral that this department is seen in a positive light.
Another institution that deserves the attention of the administration is the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) which under the leadership of Director nic0le_kely, is being run in an extremely satisfactory manner. One concern established by POST is the absence of oversight and under our cabinet plans, the administration will keep in close contact with the director to ensure 1) operations continue to be satisfactory and 2) any concerns and needs are addressed.
After discussions with the leadership from the Firestone State Patrol, the Department of Homeland Security, the Firestone Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Corrections, it is understood that these departments operate more efficiently with a higher degree of autonomy and the administration will try and preserve this relationship. It is needless to state that the administration will be there for these departments, should they request or need executive assistance. We were, though, informed of an issue with loitering at the Firestone penitentiary bridge where people stand on the railing, making them exempt from the loitering boundary. We will work with the legislature and the DOC command to fix this.
As for Executive Order 55, the administration recognizes it is a very contested issue and in light of this, will launch an executive inquiry into its merits and drawbacks, calling on stakeholders and experts within the community. It is very important to their administration that law enforcement officers are protected but are also transparent in their duties.
Judiciary
Being a previous Chief Court Justice, FIoatmanjason knows the difficulty of running the judicial branch: lack of interest, strenuous workload and poor cooperation with the executive are common problems. In combat these issues, the executive branch must take a keen interest within the judiciary and cooperate with the Chief Court Justice very closely to ensure the needs of the branch are being met.
In addition to this, our administration is very excited about the progress of the Board of Rehabilitation and Employment of Criminals (BREC) and this is something we wish to continue and expand. Our administration will also be committed to keeping prison times on the lower side as inmates cannot be expected to spend ridiculous amounts of time in prison. It hinders gameplay and limits the opportunities of our law enforcement community.
County Relations
Floatmanjason and Stamose believe the relationship between state and county to be a sacred bond and we have complete confidence within County Executive dauntfulness to manage its respective departments and institutions. With this in mind, we shall always be available should the county need any assistance.
Businesses
Stamose has worked in the Department of Commerce, and he and Float understand the importance that businesses hold. Due to this, our administration will be sure to be in contact with the Department of Commerce’s administration and the Inspections Office, ensuring businesses have proper representation. It is also important that businesses receive more public attention from the executive branch and with continued support for business fairs, we shall direct our businesses with events in-game. In addition to this, we will be looking to work with the state legislature on allowing business employees to utilize the necessary force to remove someone who is trespassing on their respective properties.
We are excited for what the businesses across the state will bring, which will ultimately affect the way our state is affected for months to come!
Public Services
Communication by the Firestone Fire Academy, the Stapleton County Fire Department, and the Firestone Department of Health are rudimentary to maintaining a strong relationship between the medical community and with a new Secretary of Health, the executive branch will provide assistance times where it is needed.
As stated in other parts of our manifesto, we wish for department commands to have autonomy when it comes to making decisions and this will be respected by the Department of Transportation, the Department of Aviation, the Department of Public Works, the Department of Boating and Waterways, and the departments aforementioned in the previous paragraph. However, we will be exploring legislative options to protect these employees from malicious and pointless acts of violence and legal actions.
