Department of Boating and Waterways Referendum

As the Commandant of Coast Guard, I’m disappointed with DOBW. They claim that they can “RUIN” CG and MD, when they cannot. DOBW also claims they are the DPS of the ocean, when they are not. DOBW makes boating/fishing regulations for CG and MD to enforce. As the FNG Major General said: We do not need to listen to DOBW. DOBW thinks they can suspend CG/MD members, remove the commandant/admiral from their positions, when in reality they cannot do any of this. DOBW has caused problems lately, and they’re even asking for a team, tools, and a boat, for a department that needs NONE of that.

Abolish it.

nah its just dobw litteraly do nothing, they dont have authortiy over coast guard, there is no REAL boating license theres nothing they can do except walk along in their polos acting like they own the place

I was on both sides of that supposed “war” and trust me it was just all miss understanding. There was no “war” at all, At the time I was a FDOC Captain AND in CG, There was no war, it was just people getting slightly angry Marine division wern’t following their regulations when CG was online and active.

FNG Major general has stated (Along with the commandant of CG) Coast guard does not have to listen to any “orders” The department of Boating and waterways may give. And they cannot suspend us, Terminate us, or any of that. If thats what being incharge is then im suprised.

Says the one that won’t accept our regulations…

You could just get Congress to amend your establishment bill to make some type of charge for not obeying your regulations, that way we can end this bitch fest. I doubt it will work, but it’s a solution.

Half of house is biased against us

Are you sure they just don’t think your department is useful? That’s not being biased, that’s doing their job. Most of the citizenry seems to agree the DBW (note: I still and not taking a stake in this I’m basing this on polls) has no purpose; they are doing their duty of representing the people.

If you guys aren’t gonna do your job properly, guess what? I’m not gonna work with you! simple.

Same with MD

Well if you don’t follow our rules we set in place get sued! That simple.

:man_facepalming: It was not a department war. We were just saying that you cannot fire my admiral, and if you get anywhere near to touching him, it will be the last thing you will ever do, Sir.

It is in breach of the bill that @anon54114525 administration signed into law please refer to it.

The Department of Boating and Waterways is a department established to create rules and regulations upon all boating services and waterways. It is meant for anyone who is going to touch the waters to follow such established regulations for the safety and security for all citizens and tourists. Ignoring such regulations, regardless of your status, means ignoring the safety of citizens, putting such people in danger.

Real life instance: The Federal Aviation Administration has set guidelines for air traffic for the safety of everyone. The Air Force does follow those regulations, but in an event they need to do something special, they ALWAYS refer to the FAA, gaining approval, as well as diverting other aircrafts from such area.

It’s simple, if CG don’t want to follow DoBW regulations, they are assholes that think Firestone is under a military rule. If CG dislike DoBW regulations since it affects their operations, they should ask DoBW to make certain exclusions for them. Same applies for MD.

Thank you.

Ah ah ah, this started because you threatened to fire people, which I will repeat, you cannot do that.

Please, go ahead and sue me.

I’ll be sure to bring the fact up you threatened to fire me for calling DOBW “not a department.”

DoBW is able to sue people who do not follow their regulations, and to an extent, abolish them from operating within waters. They should go to the courts and the courts should do their job.
