Ever since the Stapleton County Weather Service was introduced, there have always been debates on whether the service should become an official department. To understand what the people of Stapleton County really want, I have made the decision to hold a public referendum on this matter.
This referendum shall last until the 8th of August at 5:40 PM EST.

YES. do this. make it a department and you will most likely see an uptick in activity. Most weather related organizations like weather service are government owned operations anyway such as NOAA, and the weather that you look at your phone? that weather is taken from weather stations set up at airports and do you know who runs those? the FAA, a government organization. (irl not firestone faa) also for all the people saying “its useless” reminding you that this is an RP COMMUNITY. So no its not “useless” nothing in FS is really useless since its all about rp. until they ever get more dev support they’re just gonna have to rp everything but thats what fs is all about is rp!!!

irl theyre under commerce under NOAA and are a federal entity, in fs they are business that do nothing and are inactive.
i was just using examples of government running weather related services. Ill use FAA for an example. It’s modeled after the Federal Aviation Administration, a federal entity. If we can have a one department in FS thats modeled after a federal agency thats fine but we can’t have a weather department cause “its federal not state” ?
