Currently, an individual within three (3) secondary departments have exactly forty-eight (48) hours to forfeit employment to one secondary department they are currently in. SECTION II
(a) Section 16 of the Careers and Employment Act shall be amended.

(b) Section 16 of the Careers and Employment Act currently states, “Should an individual enter a Position, but they are at the maximum for that type of Position, they must resign from a Position within 48 hours or they will automatically forfeit the Position they entered.”

(c) Section 16 of the Careers and Employment Act shall be amended to state, “Should an individual enter a Position, but they are at the maximum for that type of Position, they must resign from a Position within 72 hours or they will automatically forfeit the Position they entered.”

SECTION III
Should any part of this legislation be constructed by any judicial body of this state to be unconstitutional and declared unenforceable then that part shall be severed with the rest of the act remaining in full force and effect.

SECTION IV
This legislation shall be brought into law, given that it follows the procedures to do so, as outlined by the Constitution.
