PREAMBLE: This legislation’s purpose is to give the County Executive and Councilperson(s) a more reasonable wage for their level of work.
§1: The ‘Fair Pay Act’ shall be amended.
§1.1: The ‘Fair Pay Act’ shall be defined as: Fair Pay Act
§2: The ‘Fair Pay Act’ Section 2A-(i) currently states:
The County Executive shall receive a wage of $23.
§2.1: The ‘Fair Pay Act’ Section 2A-(i) shall now state:
The County Executive shall receive a wage of $30.
§3: The ‘Fair Pay Act’ Section 2A-(j) currently states:
All County Government Officials, City Government Officials, including City
Mayors and County & City Court Judges shall receive a wage of $22.
§3.1: The ‘Fair Pay Act’ Section 2A-(j) shall now state:
All County Government Officials (excluding councilperson), City Government Officials, including City
Mayors and County & City Court Judges shall receive a wage of $22. County Councilperson(s) shall receive a wage of $26.
§4: This legislation shall go into effect upon passage by both the House and Senate.
