An Amendment To Fix Inactivity


IN THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF FIRESTONE

February 9, 2023

Mr. JoshLocke (for himself) introduced the following Amendment:


AN AMENDMENT

To Fix Inactivitiy


         Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

§1 SHORT TITLE

    (a) This amendment shall be known, and may be cited as, “An Amendment to Fix Inactivity”.


§2 ENACTMENT

    (a) This amendment shall go into effect as an Act of Congress upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.


§3 SEVERABILITY

    (a) Should any part of this Amendment be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.


§4 DEFINITIONS

    (a) “A Joint Resolution to Regulate the Appointment and Duty of the Clerks of Congress” shall be defined as: A Joint Resolution to Regulate the Appointment and Duty of the Clerks of Congress


§5. ENFORCEMENT

    (a) This resolution shall be enforced by any relevant parties.


§6 Amendments

    (a) Section VII of “A Joint Resolution to Regulate the Appointment and Duty of the Clerks of Congress” currently states:

“The Clerk of the Senate may be removed with a simple majority vote of the Senate.“

    (b) Section VII of “A Joint Resolution to Regulate the Appointment and Duty of the Clerks of Congress” shall now state:

“The Clerk of the Senate may be removed at any time by the President of The Senate, or with a simple majority vote of the Senate“
