its a different generation now
facts bro couldn’t have said it better myself
as a member of that “specific group of friends” i can say it is based on your recent actions and not on your reputation
i had literally never heard of you before working with you in DOBW and DOCM
wouldn’t of happened under a float administration
can someone change the law so we can keep having float administrations
As another member of this “specific group of friends” I concur with this statement
IT IS AN INDISPUTABLE FACT THAT UNDER AN ASH1835 ADMINISTRATION THERE WAS NEVER A POST REGARDING FIRESTONE ACTIVITY ISSUES!
under an ash1835 administration there was also no governor with such a tangible moustache
thank you the moustache has been in retirement however
My brother in Christ, I highly suggest unretiring the mustache. It isn’t a want rather a need, please reconsider.
A full release for v3 is when everything is done for the base game… lol.
the marathon will save firestone
haven’t we already had so many marathons
As a developer and someone who’s been here for a while, I agree. I joined FS long long ago and now I think ive really achieved everything I’ve wanted to do, and that is okay. Community members come and go as they please, its pretty normal for people to fade away from the community, whats more noticeable is the fact that new community members are scarcer. I’ve really thought about how long I plan to stay here, and I know that my time is getting nearer as this community isn’t what it used to be for me. For many of us, we are growing to the age where Firestone and Roblox in general is no longer the appeal that we want, and we move on. Simple as that, whats hard is for people to acknowledge that it’s happening and that its natural.
Another thing that turns people away is how stagnant Firestone departments are. It takes years of playing the game in addition to the right connections to get anywhere in this ROBLOX departments. Sure, POST or FFA are easy if you actually want to try, but, in my opinion, it’s a huge turn-off to be joining slow, stagnant departments which are run by people who are twenty years old, have been in the department for four years, and honestly should be doing something else with their lives.
Not only is it stagnant, but it is also the same people being recycled into different positions. The political climate, besides a few scuffles here and there, is just the same people arguing amongst each other, resigning or finishing a term, and filling another government position. It ends up being these same recycled people who have lost interest in the game (which makes sense if you have been active in politics for 3 years) but rerunning the next election.
Yeah, I’ve noticed this especially in fire/ems. I think the last SCFD intake was exclusively former members rejoining the department. As interest in firestone declines, the smaller departments feel the impact of it first but there’ll probably come a time where the likes of SCSO, FSP, etc are struggling to fill postions and retain active members
Everyone finds these communities from an interest in law enforcement. 13-14 year olds join to be LEOs. Fire/EMS, especially medical, is often comprised of people who have real-life knowledge or experience. It’s far less likely to find a 13 year old who wants to learn a simplified version of how to treat a patient rather than one who wants to drive police cars and shoot at criminals.
You can call it a combination of multiple things as explained here. People grow and leave Firestone; Roblox isn’t in the best place for RP communities right now, most “RP games” focus on shooting more than actual RP or anything of that matter; Lack of crime and gangs as there used to be before, crims lost motivation and although there is more criminals that do alone crime you miss the days when you could have 10 cops and 40 criminals and 2 gangs in a server causing different scenes; Another reason for the decay of Firestone is maybe that it lost its mainstream status, although relevant and has stayed a lot longer than other RP groups it is just there and doesn’t do much, plus, lots of new folks get rejected or leave for being new, are unable to join departments due to 20 step process, toxicity, etc… plus there is also ro states that are more modernized compared to V2 which also takes away new players to some extend; Another thing that I think plays into factor is the dramas that FS is sometimes involved within given it somewhat of a bad reputation.
Maybe more developer hosted RP events, or make people like small mods that can create RP scene for departments, try to go mainstream again to bring new players, encourage business more (maybe something like Aigio had which was a computer to put employees on a payroll and everything) and in general some more friendliness and other things to new players who don’t understand game mechanics or systems and leave, ppl are toxic to them, get discouraged due to the grind, etc…
And not to forget that the older most of us get the more rebellious we are. Honestly, 3-4 years ago it was easier to understand fed and listen to what he does and says. However now, its hard to agree with fed and certain rules he makes up because of how incredibly stupid they can be. Regardless of what is added to v2 or v3 people who has been in Firestone for a long time would meet their activity requirements for their department and then call it a week. Now, this isn’t the problem of a 22 year old founder of a roblox state it’s just the way life is as you get older you simply lose interest.
