A Bill to Pave Way for Charter Ratifications

Preamble: No charters on forums


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY OF ARBORFIELD COUNCIL HERE ASSEMBLED THAT,

SECTION 1

This document shall be legally empowered and binding upon the completion of the process set out by the City Charter.

SECTION 2

Should any part of this document be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.

SECTION 3

“A Bill to Require Forum Format” shall be defined here.

“An Amendment to A Bill to Require Forum Format” defined here shall be deemed null and void.

SECTION 4

Section 4 of “A Bill to Require Forum Format” currently states:

“Any submissions of legislation, resolutions, impeachments, expulsions, amendments, mayoral decrees, nominations, and other legal documents pertaining to the City of Arborfield’s Legislative branch or its Executive branch, as prescribed by the City Charter, shall not be accepted unless presented in a Firestone Forums post under the designated category.”

Section 4 of “A Bill to Require Forum Format” shall be amended to state:

“Any submissions of legislation, resolutions, impeachments, expulsions, amendments, and other legal documents pertaining to the City of Arborfield’s Legislative branch, as prescribed by the City Charter, shall not be accepted unless presented in a Firestone Forums post under the designated category. Charter ratification proposals shall be exempted from this requirement and shall be submitted via a PDF file.

SECTION 5
Any nominations or mayoral decrees made before this amendment shall not be required to be transferred onto Firestone Forums
