A Bill to Fix the Gubernatorial Succession
SECTION 1: The “Gubernatorial Succession Act” shall be amended.
SECTION 1B: The “Gubernatorial Succession Act” shall be defined as Gubernatorial Succession Act
SECTION 2: In the “Gubernatorial Succession Act”, Section 1 currently states:
Should, for reasons including, but not limited to death, resignation, inability, removal from office, or simple vacancy, there is no Governor capable of discharging the duties the office of Governor of Firestone; then the individual highest on the following list, and is fully eligible and capable of handling the position of Governor of Firestone, shall become the Governor of Firestone:
i**. Lieutenant Governor**
ii. Speaker of the House of Representatives
iii. President Pro Tempore of the Senate
iv. Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives
v. Secretary of State
vi. Secretary of Homeland Security
vii. Attorney General
viii. Secretary of Defense
ix. Secretary of Public Safety
x. Secretary of Health
xi. Director of Peace Officer Standards and Training
xii. Director of the Firestone Fire Academy
xiii. Director of the Firestone Bureau of Investigations
xiv. Secretary of Commerce
xv Secretary of Transportation
xvi. Secretary of Aviation
xvii. Secretary of Public Works
xviii. Secretary of Boating & Waterways
SECTION 3: In the “Gubernatorial Succession Act”, Section 1 shall now state:

x. Colonel of the Firestone State Patrol
xi. Secretary of the Department of Health
xii. Director of the Firestone Fire Academy
xiii. Secretary of the Department of Commerce
xiv. Secretary of the Department of Transportation
xv. Secretary of the Department of Aviation
xvi. Secretary of the Department of Public Works
xvii. Secretary of the Department of Boating & Waterways
SECTION 4: Upon passing the Constitutional procedure required, this legislation shall be brought into law.
