A Bill to Amend the “Uniformed Control of Firearms Act”

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

PREAMBLE: Whereas the current fine amount for Illegally Obtaining a Firearm makes no sense as a consequence proportionate to that of similar crimes, this legislation becomes necessary.

SECTION 1. The “Uniformed Control of Firearms Act” (henceforth referred to as the “UCFA” shall be defined as the following legislation:

SECTION 2. Chapter II, Section 1 of the UCFA currently states:

“Illegally Obtaining a Firearm shall be the act of obtaining a firearm without a license, or through an entity that is not a Certified Weapons Distributor. Any person perpetrating this act shall be guilty of a felony, and be condemned to no less than 300 seconds in jail, to no more than 550 seconds in jail; as well as a $1000 fine if possible. Should one be convicted in a court of law, their punishment shall be to the discretion of the sitting judge.”

SECTION 3. Chapter II, Section 1 of the UCFA shall be amended to state:

“Illegally Obtaining a Firearm shall be the act of obtaining a firearm without a license, or through an entity that is not a Certified Weapons Distributor. Any person perpetrating this act shall be guilty of a felony and be condemned to no more than 550 seconds in jail as well as a $500 fine if possible. Should one be convicted in a court of law, their punishment shall be to the discretion of the sitting judge.”
