A Bill to Amend “The Public Safety Establishment Act”

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:*

SECTION 1: “The Public Safety Establishment Act” is defined as The Public Safety Establishment Act

SECTION 2: Section 1A of “The Public Safety Establishment Act” currently states; The Firestone Department of Public Safety may suspend any employee of any department the Firestone Department of Public Safety has jurisdiction over; as long as they are not the department head of the department in question and a message to the department head has been sent concerning the suspension. Suspensions issued by the Firestone Department of Public Safety may not exceed 20 days unless a message of direct consent for suspension extension is received from the department head in question.

SECTION 3: Section 1A shall now be amended and state; The Firestone Department of Public Safety may suspend any employee of any department the Firestone Department of Public Safety has jurisdiction over; as long as they are not the department head of the department in question, have obtained direct approval from the department head and a message to the department head has been sent concerning the suspension. Suspensions issued by the Firestone Department of Public Safety may not exceed 20 days unless a message of direct consent for suspension extension is received from the department head in question.

SECTION 4: Section 1C of “The Public Safety Establishment Act” currently states; The Firestone Department of Public Safety may issue Public Safety Directives which must be followed by all departments that the Department of Public Safety has jurisdiction over. Should a department head instruct their department not to follow a Public Safety Directive, they shall be subject to impeachment."

SECTION 4A: Section 1C of “The Public Safety Establishment Act” shall be amended and now state: The Firestone Department of Public Safety may issue Public Safety Directives which must be followed by all department that the Department of Public Safety has jurisdiction over. Public Safety Directives are not to be active until they have achieved a 2/3rd majority from the department receiving the directive’s high command. If the department’s high command does not vote on the directive within twenty-four (24) hours, the directive becomes active.

SECTION 5: Section 2A of “The Public Safety Establishment Act”; currently states; The Governor may add or remove any other Firestone department not included in Section 2 to the jurisdiction of the Department of Public Safety with a plausible and acceptable reason; although at the end of the term in which a department may have been added, its holding will become void. (i.e. if Governor A added Department X to the jurisdiction of the Department of Public Safety and the gubernatorial term ends on April 1st, then upon reaching April 1st Department X shall no longer be under the jurisdiction of the Department of Public Safety)

SECTION 5B: Section 2A shall now be void.
