A BILL
to Amend “An Act to Establish the Firestone Bureau of Investigation”
PREAMBLE
It is warranted for the Firestone Bureau of Investigation to undergo many substantial updates and reorganization. The Attorney General previously had little authority to oversee the department which caused many preventable issues. This bill shall have the sole purpose of extending and amplifying the powers and responsibilities of the Attorney General of the State of Firestone being the head of the parent agency of the Firestone Bureau of Investigation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF FIRESTONE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SEC. 1.
(a) By an act of Congress, specific subsections in Section 1 and Section 2 of “An Act to Establish the Firestone Bureau of Investigation” shall be amended–those specific amendments are enumerated in Section 2 of this bill.
(b) “An Act to Establish the Firestone Bureau of Investigation” has been defined as: (An Act to Establish the Firestone Bureau of Investigation).
(c) The sole purpose of this amendment will be to extend and amplify the powers and responsibilities of the Attorney General of the State of Firestone being the head of the parent agency of the Firestone Bureau of Investigation.
SEC. 2.
(a) Subsections “b” and “d” of Section 1 of “An Act to Establish the Firestone Bureau of Investigation” shall be amended to state the following:
“(b) The Firestone Bureau of Investigation shall be managed by a Director. The Director of the Firestone Bureau of Investigation must be nominated by the Governor, and pass a confirmation (with a simple-majority) by the Senate; the Director may only be removed from the position by the will of the Governor, will of the Attorney General, or by impeachment. Should there be no incumbent Director of the Firestone Bureau of Investigation, the Governor, with recommendation by the Attorney General, may designate an individual to be the Acting Director, who shall assume all authority the Director of the Firestone Bureau of Investigation has; the Acting Director is to serve until a legitimate Director is confirmed by the Senate.”
“(d) The Department of Justice shall be considered the parent agency of the Firestone Department of Investigation; however, only the Attorney General is permitted to supervise the Firestone Bureau of Investigation on behalf of the Department of Justice. The Attorney General shall be permitted to supervise the Firestone Bureau of Investigation to an extent at the full discretion of the Governor. The Attorney General shall exercise his/her ability to manage the Firestone Bureau of Investigation which shall additionally entail the duty to employ and terminate persons employed by the Firestone Bureau of Investigation.”
(b) Subsection “c” of Section 2 of the aforementioned act shall be amended to state the following:
- “(c) The Firestone Bureau of Investigation shall have the ability to open investigations, take appropriate action, and do absolutely whatever necessary, under the law, in order to ensure the security of the State of Firestone; be it through an investigation of any event prominent within the State of Firestone, investigate major scandals; or through any other measure, at the full discretion of the Governor and/or Attorney General.”
SEC. 3.
(a) The Firestone Department of Justice and the Firestone Bureau of Investigation shall be tasked with the enforcement of this statute after its passage.
SEC. 4.
(a) Upon passage of this legislation by both the Senate, the House of Representatives, and subsequently being signed by the Governor, this bill shall be made law and go into effect immediately without unnecessary delay.
