i hope you realise that most of the mental health issues people suffer from aren’t a direct result of being part of the community within firestone…

still, it would be nice if you could at least be sincere to those that do suffer from mental health issues

then again, i know that’s asking too much of some ppl

but yes, people take things too seriously sometimes

Quite honestly, Firestone is about to hit an extremely rough patch, if it hasn’t gone through one already. This election is like no other, the fact that USD is being considered to vote for one party to another is unique compared to other elections and is quite frankly STUPID.

I couldn’t care less if I win or not, of course I would love to win and become Governor. As much as I hate politics, I feel like I could actually bring a lot to the state and benefit it before my eventual departure from the Firestone community. However, I have had the privilege of the past couple of months speaking to DyingSym and his administration and I respect him for what he brings to the table and I know we have very similar goals in mind. I know fine well that no matter who wins, this state will change for the better and the most prominent issues will be addressed. We plan on working together for a resolution and hopefully get the community through this time for the better.

This community has gotten to the point where even higher ups, both in the state and the development side of things have given up as they cannot control the toxicity within the community. Citizens wanna punish LEOs for the SLIGHTEST of mistakes making having fun not possible anymore. Then LEOs wanna punish criminals by trying to force a 15 minutes jail time for the slightest of reasons.

Toxicity is the most prominent issue in the state, if it continues to overwhelm the state then the state is quite honestly going to die. All the respectable criminals are going to depart from Firestone, leading to a lack of organised crime and a lack of activity in the state. LEO departments are going to fall inactive and people are going to give up on the state.

V3 at this point is a myth, there is no communication between the developers and the public, leading to long periods of silence and periodic updates from the founders to “keep interest” in the state. Even if V3 comes out, the state is too toxic to the point of it causing the state to die even after V3 release… Developers and Founders, I know fine well you are working extremely hard behind the scenes and might be bound to silence, however please understand the publics perspective on this. The lack of communication is leading to uncertainty and a lack of motivation to continue to wait for the release.

How to fix it?

Governors need to start enforcing STRICT policies on toxicity in departments. Criminals that RP should be respected and given less time because they’re beneficial to the state. I have 3 main ideas which can resolve this issue, obviously untested and can be EASILY proven wrong (feedback is appreciated):

  1. Develop strict policies on departments. Each and every department, preferably all LEO departments, should set policies on respect in the community. Disrepecting members of the public and discriminating them should be treat with a zero tolerance policy. It makes the department look unprofessional, immature and leaves a bad impression on the department.

  2. I have always said this but LEOs should make attempts to reduce the amount of time a criminal should be imprisoned should the criminal be respectful and a good sport. These criminals are the criminals we need in the state, if we continue to imprison them for 15 minutes at a time, they’ll just leave.

  3. We obviously have to put a lot of trust into LEOs for (2) to happen, I do not imagine that LEOs would take on this advice so well. Therefore I propose the idea of reducing (preferably halving) most, if not all, of the prison times in the criminal code. This would help reduce the amount of 15 minutes sentences, leading to only the most notorious criminals receiving long prison sentences.

I invite my opposition @DyingSym to take on board these proposed ideas should he win the election as it is something that both administrations need to solve…

If you mean less jail time, I strongly disagree with this. The maximum players spend in-game is 15 minutes. When you compare that to other states like Mayflower and Ridgeway that’s nothing. Obviously, Mayflower is dead, but that doesn’t change the point that criminals are given 15 minutes maximum.

It is unfair that a criminal spend their time to roleplay out a situation, trying to making it enjoyable for the LEO, for them to be sat in prison for a 1/4 of an hour. Where’s the fun in that? I’d understand if they want to participate in some roleplay within DOC itself but I believe that most of the time they’re just sitting idle waiting for their time to pass.

Yeah you can argue that it would mean repeat offenders aren’t getting straight back out of jail and committing the same crimes and it becomes boring or overwhelming for an LEO, however criminals that are respected understand that the same shit is boring and they’ll try and set up something unique.

believe u misunderstood. i am sincere towards those who have genuine mental health issues and even help them out. keyword genuine. “Everyone is after eachother, which has always been a thing in this group but now it’s starting to severely effect mental health and make people actually feel like shit.” according to mr joshernaut here ROBLOX toxicity is starting to effect mental health? what. legit ive seen people in this group fake depression, mental health, etc etc.

While I agree it’s good to reduce times if the criminals create good experiences, not a lot of POST certs know they can do that because it’s not taught in POST as something to do and from what I’ve been told, there’s no law on it which can obviously make some people feel nervous about reducing jail times because they feel like they might get in trouble for violating what the state law says the violation should be

the fact that someone would actually be willing to pay me money to vote a certain way in a lego election which could buy me an irl meal is actually sad

Hi ex rep con here

Figured that this is a decent place to cover why i resigned since it kind of relates to the problem here.

I resigned because of the continued toxicity of the political community in fs. It’s filled with toxic bitches like weirdo screaming at junior congress members. Overall, its not what I was looking forward to in office. I was hoping for support (which i rarely got any except for admiral i fucking love you )

Anyways yes. This post has so much merit and I’d like to reaffirm the fact that if the toxicity continues, firestone will die and lets all be honest

we don’t want that

So i urge departments, congress, and founders to get firestone back in check and keep it alive.

Sincerely your favorite ex rep con

Yeah people shouldn’t take it too seriously, but why should it be the people who are getting harassed and shit on for no reason by others that stop doing something they’d otherwise enjoy? If people are gonna be dickheads they need to be dealt with, otherwise you just have a community full of toxic arseholes with no respect for anyone

lmao i’ve said this for months. you guys take this shit WAY too seriously (not that i didnt). you people are gonna look back on this and say to yourselves “jesus christ what was I doing?”

the second hand embarassment i feel towards the people in this situation is so strong.

theres a reason all the og players left and nobody knows what they’re doing anymore.

So which one is it? I understand what you’re trying to do but many people have tried this and it has failed time and time again. It doesn’t help when criminals are already being petty and complaining and you add more strict policy to it.

nvm i misinterpreted this

he meant to relax policies in order to allow people to have fun, but be tight on toxicity. two different policy changes
