AN AMENDMENT

TO PREVENT COUNTY CABINET FROM HOLDING MORE THAN ONE RESPONSIBILITY

PREAMBLE: WHEREAS, Skeletron19YT was an individual who served as both the County Sheriff and District Attorney at the same time. He held a lot of responsibility in these positions and wasn’t able to commit to just one position 100%. While he did do a good job, it is unlikely the County will ever find someone as gifted as he was in County Law. In future, an individual in County Cabinet should not hold two positions with such responsibilities that may result in them not being able to completely dedicate their efforts to just one.

This act is dedicated to the success, contribution, and hard work of Skeletron19YT.

By virtue of the County Charter of Stapleton County the Council hereby establishes that,

SECTION 1.

For short, this Bill may be cited as “The Skeletron19YT Act”

SECTION 2,

Upon passage of the Stapleton County Council this amendment shall be effective as
County law immediately.

An individual may serve in one of these positions, as well as another position within the Cabinet or Sub-Cabinet simultaneously, so long as that position is not one defined within this sub-section.”

c. Article I, Section II, Subsection E of the Stapleton County Charter shall be amended to state:

“The position of Press Secretary shall be considered to be a part of the County Executive’s cabinet, however, this position shall not be bound by the restraints established by Sub-Section D. An individual may serve in this position, as well as another position within the Cabinet or Sub-Cabinet simultaneously, so long as that position is not one defined within this sub-section.”

SECTION 4.

The offices of District Attorney and Chief of Staff, as defined by relevant law, shall both be considered members of Cabinet.

SECTION 5.

For purposes of this act, the Stapleton County Charter shall be defined as: Trello
