The Firestone Senate - what most of us thought

I just find it incredibly immature how the same people who elected these senators are harassing them. If you don’t like them, they should not have been voted for; and if you didn’t vote for them, well I guess that means everybody else voted them.

I didn’t vote
everyone kinda sucked

If you see a problem in the Congress or Government I hope you do speak out and bring light to the situation at hand and during next election you can act on those.

Listen kid, we do this for the common good. Not everything the people say will come to pass, but trust me we heard your voices. We decided to fail the nominations for the following reasons;

  1. Speech was vague
  2. Elite isn’t the fit for DOT Secretary
  3. We have many other individuals who can fulfill these duties.
Knowing that we, the Congressmen and women having access to his speech decided to do what is best and fail the nomination. Not everything is done in a time of manner and successful at the first shot, I strongly believe and know that the Senators took time to read Elite’s speech and reflect on his speech.
Second off to clear up the malpractice bill. It is impossible to role play killing someone with this tech. Realistically, this bill will need a Good Samaritan Law to go with them. Hey, we give the people say. The government is the people, you elected us for this term and we will serve you this term. The same ones who voted us are now harassing us. Yet to know, a few citizens are very ignorant and impatient to know what is good/wrong and to hear the reasoning. Furthermore, the Senate will never vote on an unfair legislature. Think of it, shall a citizen of Firestone be fined for saving a life without proper treatment? We tabled the bill so that it may be amend. Trust me, we know what we are doing.

@jasonbourneaxis I also find you very rude. Instead of talking this out professionally you harassed us.

I don’t see how we can talk this professionally, you guys acted like idiots, lots of people in the fs discord also think that also

What the fuck is this bullshit.

May you elaborate?

Elite is the person who could lead DoT through these dark times.

The problem is the Senate can approve just anyone to lead a Department we are trying to find the right one.

we are not idiots. I would appreciate if you did communicate to us with a little bit more respect.

"The senate is supposed to be the upper house"

These new Senators aren’t the best, but let’s not harass them… they do deserve some criticism though

One thing I don’t understand Is why they voted Elite out considering the fact that all of DOT thought he would be the best candidate for the position. Shouldn’t the Senate be listening to the citizens?

I get it. It’s the Senate’s choice for that position, but they clearly didn’t make the right choice for DOT. I truly feel bad for the hard-working DOT members. They won’t get the leadership that they wanted.

I also dislike that they abused the SS. They would page SS and give them a bullshit reason just to get escorts and DHS quickly caught on. Now it’s almost impossible to get an escort because of the trust issues.

also the Senate isn’t mentally capable of realizing that if a bill is good but just needs some fixing that they can just table it for re-work instead of just failing the bill…

you had one job senate… ( ° ͜ʖ͡°)╭∩╮

I am pretty sure it was a representative that got blacklisted from DHS for abusing SS within the first days of taking office.

thats exactly what we did, tabled it.

DOT Confirmation:

I do not know Elite personally, so I’d like to learn. Maybe by his speech? Well no, the speech was very vague regarding DOTs future. I abstained during this confirmation due to me hearing things through current and former DOT employees on his leadership skills, some good and others bad so my decision was deadlocked.

Malpractice:

Malpractice bill is needed, however I was not at the first session so I didn’t vote, second session it ended up being tabled due to many in the Senate believing it is “vague”.

You tabled it after a Representative told you instead of failing everything you can literally just table it…

Do you need to be told everything? HELLO?

I am pretty sure it was a representative that got blacklisted from DHS for abusing SS within the first days of taking office.

No… I’m pretty sure it was a Senator bud

we tabled it after a SENATOR got up and gave us reasons why we needed to table.

Knowing the bill was failed by Senate at first, then resubmitted and yet you’re not grateful when we tabled it so that you may amend the bill.

I’m not grateful because you’re not mentally capable of tabling it the first time. There was no point in making someone resubmit it.

I don’t attend Senate sessions but I doubt you even gave advice on what was so “vague” about this bill

i dont think it was vague, i voted aye on it
