Can someone tell me the requirements for your computer in order to run V2? Like how much dedicated RAM do I need? Graphics? Windows version? Etc.
Just have a good computer lmao
My 6 year old laptop could decently run Version 2 back in 22’ before I got my new desktop, and that had AMD Integrated graphics. If you want to run it well, 16 gb of ram and at least a modern 30 series NIVIDIA Card works well
why does FS have the same system requirments as AAA game titles
roblox client is heavy on the CPU, it barely touches your GPU because it wasnt made that way. if you want to get a good framerate you’d want at least a 6 core cpu with clock speeds >3.4GHz (unboosted, clock untouched) accompanied with at least 16gb of ram. “Dedicating” ram to roblox is next to useless as the size of games arent really comparable to AAA games or minecraft (where dedication is useful and required), 9/10 times youre gonna be leaving the game either shortly before or shortly after the garbage engine hits you with a memory leak. as for GPU you can use next to literally anything compatible with your cpu, if youre on a budget i’d recommend either the NVIDIA 2060S or the AMD 5700XT. as for all gaming currently, windows 10 is still top notch compared to w11 or w7, most games now are made with win10 in mind. ensure that your drivers are up to date and that you have a stable connection before you go blaming it on your hardware being outdated or roblox being too intensive
I have a ryzen 5800x paired with a 3070 + 32GB of ram and even my computer still struggles sometimes. there’s not much we can do, its the way the engine was made and how it hasnt had a makeover since 2006.
Firestone is a AAA game. Duh
I have a default Macbook Air that, as long as I don’t exceed 3/10 graphics settings, runs v2 acceptably well
Now the thing is, do you record your gameplay
Also V2 runs fine on low graphics settings, until it crashes
so ive made an honest mistake with this forgetting that roblox doesnt utilize multiple cores efficiently,
core count does not matter for roblox, singlethreaded performance is what matters. roblox in their infinite wisdom and knowledge of game engines does not allow it to efficiently use multiple cores simultaneously and usually defaults to just utilizing a single core.
if all you are going to be playing is roblox, look for high singlethreaded performance compared to core count (higher core count is not always better for some applications) the 5600x is a GREAT budget option for this application followed closeley by the intel 10900k. most modern CPUs will perform acceptably for roblox
just wanted to clear up my error fellas
cframe told me to get this CPU when i was upgrading from my 3100, literally the best decision I’ve made
Are you asking this because Firestone is now crashing for you? If that’s the case, I guarantee you that your computer isn’t the issue
i think roblox mainly uses the CPU to run the game but ive noticed it takes up a good chunk of my ram and i have 32… youd be best with an ok CPU (anywhere from i3-i7 or AMD A4-A10 rlly) and a like 16gb of ram. i think shaders (in very few instances) do use your GPU but you should be staying away from that anyways if you’re worried about specs
i think the lag itself has to do a lot with roblox player and how its designed (since nothing roblox can be good).
I urge people not to go for an i3, they’re not the best you can get. If you just want to play Roblox sure but expandability is so small with it. I’d say i5 at a push but ideally i7 or i9 with intel
I discourage people to go for an older AMD CPU, they are not comparable to the new CPUs that AMD are producing. Whilst Ryzen 3 is not something I’d encourage anyone to go for, a Ryzen 3 3100 did support me playing v2 until January when I needed a stronger CPU to do other things than play Roblox or any other games.
Basically, Stay away from any intel CPU that is an i3. Wouldn’t recommend an i5 but that’d still run. For AMD don’t get anything that is pre-Ryzen, and for Ryzen try and get something a little better than a Ryzen 3 however Ryzen 3’s are still a decent option for low budget system
