Speaking of Wannabe's

I thought about buying a radio so that i could better memorize the codes and be completely prepared for the academy. I am having a problem since i already have like all my family’s phone numbers and all the doctors, dentists, local stores entrenched in my head. I am really wondering how many more numbers I can fit before the brain explodes!

why the hell someone would want to pay out good money to listen to lego officers waffle is beyond me. if i was a cop, and If any idiot was stupid enough to monitor a scanner in their own time and then turn up to my job then they would more than likely be charged with being a loser in a public place !!

oops… i hope post admin dont read this

What do you guys think of People who have scanners, who listen on police frequencies, and respond to the scene??? I know of a couple of people who do this, but wondering what you guys think about it??

No need to buy the radio.

From my 1 year experience as Leo all i use are these

10-4 (okay/message received/understood)

10-5 (requesting additional) if you need dot you would say 10-5 DoT to [location] most of the time when LEOs request additional LEOs they just use R/A)

10-8 (on duty)

10-10 (off duty) (some would say 10-10T if they are going off duty temporarily) (I personal don’t use 10-8 or 10-10 because I find it pointless to tell others I’m on team)

10-20 (location)

Code 3 (responding with lights and sirens)

Code 7 (pursuit in progress)

These are what I personally use because I’m not a big Leo enthusiast who takes this game seriously enough to be professional.

But here is a forum post with every single code
