BAD confussled. bad view.
You do realize this would mean the towns are gone right, and theyâd be considered Prominence? Terrible idea.
I would support but considering in V3 Hillview is next to Arborfield and Greendale next to Redwood it be a wiggle around
Hillview and Greendale are still defined by the charter as independent towns, they still exist as Greendale and Hillview respectively and have their own predefined borders. They simply are under the governance of prominence, due to their lack of an official standing government of their own. If youâd like, I can send you the exact section where we established this within the charter, or discuss this further within your dms to clear some questions up.
Greendale should be its own town. It has all the necessities of a self respecting town. A church, gas station, bank, dog food store, and even a National Guard Base. Hillview does not have all of these things, in-fact rather few.

Itâs just an all-around ridiculous idea, and for the following reasons:
-
It effectively dismisses the point of having small towns that are governed by the county instead of a municipal government, which decreases the roleplay aspect.
-
It is not considered ârealisticâ to have nearby municipalities governing towns and townships; they should be their own thing that is governed by the county, not a municipality.
-
Would most likely cause issues with other municipal governments, as they may find such a change unfair (and with good reason).
-
It also shortens the State Patrolâs ârecommended jurisdictionâ as Colonel @Ftlicious stated, as it would then be apart of a municipality.
I, speaking for myself, was planning to propose an Inferior Governments Act, designed to outline the jurisdiction of Stapleton County and its subordinate municipalities. However, I understood the aspect of believing that the state shouldnât be handling municipal jurisdiction, which I concurred with and decided not to propose the act in its entirety. However, if this change does pass, this decision may change. I advise the county government and its respective officials to closely consider this change.
All in all, if the county does go forward with this, Iâm sure state law overrides may be considered by members of the state government. Fed-law may come into play if Fedora so wishes.
thank you
yes i like your view! good idea
Why do yâall keep trying this. Greendale should remain separate, same as Hillview.
If yâall are bored, go fix all the shitty laws that havenât been updated. Only one that was doing that was auto.
Edit: they asked the same shit when I was CE and I said the exact same reasons that Caleb gave.
I agree with this. We (SCSO) still need our patrol zones.
Probably the only time Iâd agree with Fed. The towns are called âunincorporatedâ for a reasonâŚ
Does it really make much difference
Technically IRL this has happened. Townâs will sometimes combine their governing bodies to form one âtown councilâ. This mostly effectâs towns who are in each otherâs borders though for example if Prom claimed all of eastern Stapleton County as itâs borders the Town of HV & Greendale would technically be under their governing body. I am not sure what is considered the borders of Prominence so. If itâs outside their borders it would be under their own governoring body or Stapleton County.
Yes, irl when I take a back-road shortcut to get to a neighboring city I go through like 2 towns that are patrolled not by a neighboring city police force- but here in Canada itâs patrolled by the Provincial Police (like state police) an examploe
no, unconstitutional!
Still terrible, let the towns be unincorporated and managed by the County, not a City.
This was a horrible idea, not realistic. County needs to rethink
