Personally, just because a department doesn’t have an in game team doesn’t mean it should be voluntary. If that were the case, then departments like POST, DOJ, DOS, DPS and positions like representative, senator, court justice, etc. would all be voluntary. The Department of Commerce and Department of Boating and Waterways all had a strong amount of employees at the time of the introduction of the bill, and I saw no reason as to why it should have been changed. The sole argument for change was because they did not have an in game team, which is a nonissue in my opinion.
To be honest, in terms of activity, I am proud of our Senators currently in office. Yes, every term, there is that one person who is inactive, and we ensured that such occasion would not occur. Activity is one of the most crucial parts of this job, believe it or not. I am also happy that our POs (Presiding Officers) (@sharkfish82 and @DannyboyJurist) keep us up to that standard, and assist us in general with questions we may have.
