RPD Trespassing Act of 2025


Preamble

An act to restrict access to the Redwood Police Department.
Be it enacted by the City of Redwood City Council that:

Section 1

The Firestone Criminal Code (“CC Board”, “Criminal Code Board”) shall be defined through its Trello Board.

The Redwood Police Department shall be defined here.

Section 2

Chapter 10, Section 2 of the Criminal Code Board shall be created and state "§2 - Trespassing on RPD Property".

Section 2A

"Trespassing on RPD Property" shall state the following:
  1. “Trespassing on RPD Property” shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense in the City of Redwood.
  2. "Trespassing on RPD Property" shall be defined as the following:
    1. (b1) Entering into the areas marked in red in this screenshot and in this screenshot and in this screenshot without proper clearance from authorized personnel of the Redwood Police Department.

      (c1) Authorized personnel shall be defined as a member of a department that is not a trainee rank, or is suspended/on administrative leave.

      (c2) Any Authorized Departmental Personnel shall be exempt from subsection b1.

      (c3) Authorized departmental personnel shall be defined as an on-duty member of any of the following: The Department of Health, The Department of Corrections, the Stapleton County Fire Department, the Firestone Department of Homeland Security, the Firestone National Guard, the Firestone Department of Public Works, the Redwood Police Department, the Firestone State Patrol, the Firestone Department of Homeland Security, the Firestone Department of Transportation, the Firestone Aviation Administration, the Firestone Department of Commerce, the Firestone Bureau of Investigation, the Firestone Parks Service or the Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office.

      Section 3

      Trespassing” shall be classified as a Class A Misdemeanor and shall carry a punishment of 300 Seconds within a correctional facility.

      Section 4

      Should this bill be struck down, then all sections under chapter 10 in the Criminal Code Board shall be renumbered in the order they were enacted to rectify any non-consecutive section numbers.

      Section 5

      This legislation shall go into effect immediately upon passing the legal processes as described by the City Charter.
