The Senate is quite literally a vehicle with one driver, inactive OG’s who refuse to let go of their influence. In this vehicle, “backseat driving”, where a Senator or outside force can criticize a law or nominee that comes from the Governor’s inside desk is shushed and threatened with “ejection”. Drivers on the road who flash their lights because your trunk is still open are given the finger, and as such, this vehicle is destined to crash and burn.
The House is nearing an all time low. I’ve been elected to the House so many times I’ve lost count, and even as someone distant for the past 6 months, I can clearly tell it’s not operating right. There’s controversy, inactivity, incompetence, and most severe at all, a significant schism in relations between the Senate and the House.
I’m no stranger to controversy, albeit all for the common good of our State, but there is one thing I can guarantee, Congress would not be in this delirious state if I was a member of it.
Firestone needs a Senator who will, A, represent their constituents in a level headed way (surprise, most congresspeople in Firestone just do what they’re told by a select group of powerful people), and B, fix the state of Congress, starting in the Senate.
