Remove/option to disable the distress signal hotkey (ctrl+g)

I don’t even use the hotkey because I think it is much more efficient to press the exclamation point. In many ways i’ve been seeing this a problem to me, I am doing something in firestone on a team who has access to the distress signal and randomly without any intent, the Signal goes out and I *Have to say “Disregard”, “Misfire”, etc. It’s just a pain when you accidentally do ctrl+g without knowing as you aren’t looking at your keyboard. Or at least make an option in the settings to disable it.

are you judging him? What if he has big ass fingers and tries to type something that starts with a capital G but accidentally hits ctrl instead of shift. I am ashamed.

that feeling when you try and take a GIF with gyazo but forget to press shift and fire your distress signal

I personally use Ctrl+g all the time it’s way more easier then looking for distress button “!” and pressing it. Their should be a option in settings to turn off hot keys, just as their is many other options.

The ctrl+g thing doesn’t even work for me for some reason. Super annoying when it doesn’t work.

I had this problem when it came to turning on headlights, I don’t know if my control key was jammed or apple computers have this weird glitch. This would be helpful for me if they removed the hotkey.

Exactly, this happened to me earlier when I pressed ‘G’ to turn on my headlights too, and suddenly the signal went off. And when I turned them off, it went off again.
