Reelect dangerzone1111 to the SCC

SECT I - CANDIDATE INFORMATION

Hello there. For those of you who might not know me, my name is Danger. I am officially announcing my candidacy for a billet on the County Council for my 7th consecutive term. For the past 24 consecutive months, I have served the County as a member of its Council, as its Chairman, and for one term, as the County Executive. During my time as the County Executive, I made a statement announcing my—at least temporary—retirement from County politics. Though as time has gone on, i’ve come to realize the decrease in quality in Firestones many bodies of government. Although due to the fault of no one individual, competency in Firestone politics has diminished since I ran for my first term two years ago. For this reason, and also in an effort to right the wrongs I made during my time as the County Executive, I chose to rerun for my 6th term within the County Council. And while last term was relatively slow to begin, I feel the last council was a group of dignified individuals who represented it well. As the term comes to an end, I have decided to put retirement on hold and run for yet another term, to continue representing Firestone’s inferior governments at large, as I have prided myself on doing from the start.

To introduce myself; I joined the Firestone community almost four years ago now, way back in 2018, and in August of 2019, I started my career in Law Enforcement when I graduated from Post Class 44. Since then, I have served in numerous law enforcement positions, from Corrections to the Secret Service and the Military Police and beyond. Over a year ago, I was bitten by the urge to enter politics for the first time and since then, for 16 consecutive months, I served under County Executives’ dauntfulness, 69superman, DyingSym, AestheticallyHappy, Josheraut and iiVortex_RBLX to represent you within the County Government.

Brief breakdown of my Departmental and Political experience:

  • County Executive, one term

  • County Chairman, two terms

  • County Councilman, three terms

  • Firestone State Representative, one term

  • District of Prominence Deputy Mayor, one term

  • Secret Service Agent, Department of Homeland Security

  • Federal Protective Service K9 Officer, Department of Homeland Security

  • Deputy Sheriff, Stapleton County Sheriff’s Office

  • Correctional Officer, Department of Corrections

  • Military Police Officer, 1st Military Police Battalion, Firestone National Guard

  • Infantry Specialist, 3rd Infantry Battalion, Firestone National Guard

  • Current Captain and Squad Leader, 16th Combat Aviation Battalion, Firestone National Guard

  • Firefighter/EMT-B Certified

  • POST Certified

During my time in Firestone, I’ve come to witness numerous monumental events, from the Patchy scandal to the rise and fall of the Department of Defense. I was around for the Docklands war, and the Atoll conflict, and served during the peacekeeping missions to New York and Aigio. Legislatively, I’ve worked actively alongside my peers on numerous pieces of legislation, including various charter amendments, and I also took part in the investigation of numerous scandals, including a scandal surrounding the High Command of the Fire Department. My experience has contributed greatly to my knowledge and success thus far, and I know I can continue to apply it in my future duties.

SECT II - LEGISLATIVE AGENDA

  • Passage of a Charter amendment regulating the positions county government employees may hold: It has been brought to my attention that, due to a loophole in County/Superior legislation, the County Chairman is no longer restricted from holding the positions of District Court Justice, state Congress, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Sub-Cabinet or Cabinet official or CCJ. While the majority of these positions are okay, most notably, an individual may now hold the position of County Chairman and County Executive simultaneously. Therefore, it is one of my goals for next term to close this loophole and rectify this issue.

  • Passage of a Criminal Code Act: Recently, a law was passed creating sections for inferior governments to place their criminal legislation onto. A deadline of February 1st was set to allow inferior governments the opportunity to transfer their criminal legislation to the Criminal Code, before they would be repealed. The County has failed to meet this deadline. Therefore, one of my plans for next term would be to pass a Criminal Code Act, officially placing all county criminal legislation back into effect on the Firestone Criminal Code.

I will also work with the next term’s County Council on any legislative issues that may arise during the term, as I have done in my 24 month tenure up to this point. I also, if reelected, intend to run for Chairman once again.

SECT III - CONCLUSION

I thank you for taking the time to read my speech, I hope you will consider my experience when casting your support, and I hope you are willing to entrust me to continue to serve you on the Council of Stapleton County. Feel free to direct any questions to me, either on this forum post or my direct messages at Danger#4826.
