I feel like we should have the option to change the distress signal key from our end. In the county a lot of people misclick Ctrl + G which sets off the distress signal. If we can have the option to change it to something else it would be helpful.

I guess it would be cool to be able to change the keybind for yourself, but I don’t really see the issue in CTRL+G, it’s very convenient on the keyboard and easy to press.

Well most of my video recording controls are with CTRL, but I usually don’t have any misfire issues

I used to use it, but then I had to actually click the distress button on the radio which was a pain in the ass. Ended up getting used to having shift-lock turned off and now I don’t use it at all. Trust me, it’s so much easier to press CTRL+G for the distress especially as a LEO.

let alone it also depends if you actual use shift lock in the county, especially while a leo it shouldnt be on unless your disciplined enough not to press it with a gun out

So you have to double press shift each time you run? (thats how I did it until they added the CTRL function which is way better now)
On that note: for v3: oh my god make running Shift and make shift lock CTRL instead of what it is now please developers

Jokes aside, no, CTRL should be shift lock and Shift should be run. CTRL is WAY harder to press than Shift, you cant argue with that, and also drifing is the same button as shift lock so you activate it each time you drift
